The smelter is not working

I'm talking about the T1 smelter, which smelts copper, tin and bronze.
I load wood into it, but when I click on the smelter, nothing happens. I have ore in my inventory.
Also, workers completely ignore this production, they can only add firewood, even when all production tasks are set.

-Did you set the building priority?
-Did you make a villager smelter specific on their priority list?
-The ore needs to be in a camp container like a chest, or stockpile. Did you do this?
-probably something else I can't think of....

The workers' priorities are set, the building is on the priority list, and the ore is in the camp storage.

update was about higher tier smelter doing iron ingots instead of steel ingots

can you upload your save file? that would help with investigating the problem

@rigid summit i found the issue.
when you put your last storage you not unlocked the ingots yet,

simply turn of resourses and turn on storage

This phrase is very mysterious! Are you talking about research? but don't the ingots turn on automatically when I build a smelter? or did I misunderstand something?😅

or search for ingots on your storage

I did this, it doesn't work for me, unfortunately.
I disabled and enabled resources in the warehouse.
I created a new warehouse and sent only ore and ingots there. I turned resources on and off in the new warehouse.
this does not work.

I am having the same issue for WEEKS. Have reported it multiple times. No fix yet. I still can’t progress. All the settings and storages are setup correctly. Even got mining camps.
