Hello everyone i like to start a discussion about renown. In my opinion, if i want a big army i think that the renown Cost for recuiting are way to much. If i one a big army, than i need 10 real life years in my opinion to get a big army. The renown Cost get every day higher looks like it for me and that much renown for quests you dont get. Iam in the begin of the game and i need more than 600+ renown to recuit one npc. What do you guys think ?
#renown improvement?

I think it is weird that it gets more expensive to hire people the more trust you build with the village. The higher lever trust a village has with you should make the renown cost cheaper to hire someone from that village l
I felt this same way as i progressed but then i got far enough into the game where one t2 or t3 bandit camp can generate 2k renown and now i have more than i can spend typically.
When you get later in the game it's easy to stack up like 15-20k renown and not know what to do with it. Plus, some later quests grant you the ability to get some people for free, and they tend to have awesome skills.
Aah allright, didnt no that 🙂
I do also agree with this
i think its this way, to deter you from just recruiting from 1 village, your followers get disgruntled when you keep recruiting from just 1 village. and they end up working slower.
Npc in a other village are also so expensive as the npcs in the first village where i only did recuit them so i dont know why that is
600 is not expensive. I have 10 settlers and now they cost about 1200-1700 renown depending on how many i hired from the town.
The cost gets higher in the specific town if you only hire from there. go to new town and you see the prices are almost reset. But goes higher quick.
I think this is good balancing though. It should not be easy to get 30 settlers early game..
In a village i didnt recuit npcs they there also same price as in village i did recuit only all my npcs
Mine is couple of 100's cheaper in new towns it seems. Weird. Maybe I just been lucky finding "bad"/cheap settlers in the second town
It changes on friend level
Ah, so the more trust the more renown to recruit? Makes sense
I have a ton of renown and a lot of people. Play harder. Shit mine cost like 3k now, I still have like 20 people.
10 years of life? I've had the game the same 2 weeks as everyone else. My army is 12, not counting all the workers around. You want 100 troops? The biggest army I have faced is like 10.
lol all you do is troll... gotta love dumb kids
Yes indeed, i wanna 100+ troops. Every settlement i have do i need a garrison, i also want a army that follows me and i need workers. So what you say about 20 npcs is in my opinion not big. But so as i say i want discuss it, further nothing. I like the game freaking much so that is not the problem
100 troops against what? There might not even be a hundred enemies on the entire map at one time. Armies during this time period were not very big anyway. It was common to have much less than 100 in an army. If you want that many, play bannerlord or make a mod.
