Rename Settlements

Currently, there is no way to rename settlements. You can rename your village hall, but it appears there is no way to change the name of the settlement itself. I think this should be an option, preferably via the settlement management UI.

What I did to rename an outpost was to create a new one with the name I wanted, then assign all buildings from the old outpost to the new one and thr old one disappeared from the list.

Thanks, i'll do that. Spent what felt like forever building the village hall and i'm not trying to tear it down to rename my settlement.

Seems my old settlement still exists in the UI, although everything has been assigned to the new outpost

funny doing that resets your bandit threat level, too

i guess i'll take bandit threat level of 1 instead of just about 8

I did that too
its super unconvenient
everytime I open the management tab I see an empty list or when I want to call my villagers via the army tab its an empty list as well and I have to do it manually via the population tab

Yeah and then you get twice as many bandit raid parties too, since your threat level increases for the "new" settlement and the "old" one

I'd like to add my related request for renaming sign posts, or if there is a way already, better tutorializing

The fast travel signs? They can be renamed the same way as everything else

go into your build menu, hit "rename," then interact with the fast travel sign. It'll let you rename it

You have to be at the sign to rename it. It's just poorly tutorialized, if at all

Actually, now I have the same place getting two separate raid threat progressions (since the game thinks I have two settlements), so twice as many raid parties. Woohoo! Seems like an exploit for farming resources, books, food, coins, and renown if you can handle dealing with raid parties all the time

Sometimes I get two, sometimes I get one, and when I get one they just attack my fake second settlement that's just a crafting table and smoking station lol

Yeah I just have one settlement with everything and the other one with nothing, but it's close enough to the same lol

my second empty settlement got literally nothing assigned to it and my threat score is not increasing
