Every time I launch the game it only has the default profile for the instrument. All the bots I make are gone, and then I also have to edit the default profiles name to mine every time. I've seen posts about this, but haven't really seen it solved.

yeah, your profiles json got corrupted somehow and once that happens the game won't save a new copy to avoid possibly making the damage worse

anyway, the short term solution is to delete the profiles and bindings json files and recreate from scratch. there's a help thread somewhere on here that details how to open the score db and edit a newly created profiles.json to get your original profile uuid back so your old scores will be shown with the new profile
(if you care about your old scores, I know some people are kinda married to them lol)

I plan at some point soon to write a tool to allow that remapping to be done without having to manually edit the json files

Well thank you. I'll mess with it. I'm not really worried about any previous scores, so in that case. Do you think just deleting both of those would work?

yeah, delete the two json files and it should start letting you save again
