I’d love this too, it’s nice to use some of the fill techniques I’m slowly learning on my edrums, it also allows for a bit of creativity from the player

Not sure if the same thing, but I suggest to add the Guitar Hero mechanic to trigger Star Power on the drums (Hitting 2 specific cymbals at the same time)

and no it's not the same it's a freestyle fill with a crash at the end to activate if you've hit enough notes in the freestyle

Was gonna make a thread about this but then jist saw this one. Since Yarg now implemented BRE, I’d LOVE for there to be a setting for freestyle drum fill star power activation just like from Rock Band! 😁

This runs into the issue of every possible 2 cymbal combo is already used in existing charts. I get that they were trying to come up with some kind of equivalent to "tilt to deploy" but I think rock band's solution was better.
After playing for a while now, I have to agree with you
GH has the same issue (there are yellow+orange notes in charts) and the solution is to just not activate if the Y+O input can be used to hit actual Y+O notes
however this has to be a different thread imo
