everytime i try to click on the settings tab from the main menu it just franticly flies through all the tabs at the top and i got no idea how to stop that

Wasn't holding dpad-left how the old PS2 guitars identified themselves?
no idea if that's actually relevant here, but it does come to mind
If it is a case of a menu-left input being held erroneously, one way to correct things could be to just un-bind that input

nope. the only thing i have connected are my mouse and keyboard

so i figured it out. i did try unbinding it. and i used the same keayboard left. restarted the game and did it again and it worked. no idea why it wanted to work now
