I figure since that yarg does indeed have a Input Viewer for 5 fret, but with no way to enable it, it would be nice to have it in nightly instead of going into a different (outdated) engine branch with it enabled.

The current issues that i know about the IV is that the inputs is shared thru out if theres more than one player, so this is more of a solo player kind of thing to have until they further develop it, but I feel its developed enough to be enjoyed in single player settings

oh yeah ideally it'd be per player and positioned/resized dynamically but that's a bit of a chore right now
my idea is that so it can be implemented "right now" as Jaden suggested (since the input viewer literally already exists)
and then made into a proper actual thing later
