they definitely lean into a more sectarian interpretation to keep people focused on krishna alone. it's a bit reductive compared to the broader dharmic view, but that's just how they operate.

Can't say that no matter whatever they do they are spreading our religion all over the world with kindness and peace our Main motive is to surrender to god and spread kindness

Something closer to the real Sanskrit and taking into account the entire Gita would say “worshipping the demigods (devas) is lesser than worshipping God”

i was just agreeing with you—they have a specific theological structure to keep things focused on one path. basically, they integrate other deities into their system but prioritize vishnu/krishna to maintain their specific line of bhakti.

And on this verse in particular the gita press translation is not very different

उन-उन कामनाओंसे जिनका ज्ञान अपहृत हो गया है, ऐसे वे मनुष्य अपनी-अपनी प्रकृतिसे नियन्त्रित होकर (देवताओंके) उन-उन नियमोंको धारण करते हुए उन-उन देवताओंके शरण हो जाते हैं।
