I feel like the photo mode could really be taken up a notch with a few upgrades.
Having proper depth of field control, better zoom or focal lengths, and the option to tilt the camera would make lining up shots so much nicer.
Motion blur just for photos would be amazing too, especially for showing speed or drift without needing video.
More aspect ratios like ultra-wide, cinematic bars, and some vertical ones would give way more flexibility for sharing pics.
It’d also be great to have finer tuning or just easier-to-use controls for the stuff that’s already in the game—like film grain, temperature, brightness, and everything in that area—just to make adjustments feel smoother.
Plus, adding a few more sliders like contrast, vibrance, sharpening, and vignette would help fine-tune the final look.
And with some simple quality-of-life tweaks like grid lines, hiding the UI, smoother free-cam movement, and saving presets, photo mode would feel way more polished and enjoyable overall.

We hear your suggestions on Photo Mode loud and clear and we do our best to find some free to improve it even further, especially since we received so many great ideas. Can't promise anything for sure, but be sure that we hear you all 📷 😄

  • Free camera attached to the player

  • Free zoom and rotation

  • Manual focus distance and Various bokeh effects

  • Rule of thirds, diagonals and golden ratio

  • Time of day without presets, by hour, and sun rotation

  • Customizable weather (rain, fog, snow, wind, etc.)

  • Light projector creation system for artistic photography (neon lights, etc.)

  • Addition of particles (leaves, snow, rain density) (For the moment the falling leafs are disappearing from the trees.)

  • Post-FX options (bloom, lens flares, vignette, motion blur, aberration, grain)

  • UI hide option that removes the rule of thirds grid, and a precision mode for slow movements (also allowing the creation of videos!)

let's be crazy

  • If photos are taken while stationary, the character can be positioned on the vehicle (hood, roof, interior, exterior) using the XYZ axis for precise positioning (you would be the first to finally offer this in a racing game GT7 can do something similar but it's not that great, be inspired by cyberpunk)

TOP NOTCH FEATURE In the best-case scenario, exposure bracketing to create image rendering and maximum image quality

The first four points will already be an incredible step forward, but it would be insane to have that in this game because frankly it's one of the best Japan-inspired maps I've seen in modern video games !
