Lets go, It is generally agreed that all players want custom games, why? Because the best way to keep a game alive is to let the community keep it alive, and for that, championships and tournaments,They need support from the game to at least be able to create and organize matches with players, Quidditch champions was literally created to be a competitive game. So I speak for everyone, we want CUSTOM MATCHES, urgently! In addition, the option for spectators, so that games can be broadcast and analyzed more easily, allowing for greater online promotion of not only competitive content, As well as among creative players and for their mini projects.

Customs can even be used to get some cinematic shots for videos! Or for people to make videos with a storyline! Or just to play with only friends! Not just for the competitive scene! It benefits all players!
EXACTLY, WE ALL WANT IT
While I'm confident the developers know we want customs, I will still add my support to this
Releasing competetive 6v6 without the option to skirmish against other specific teams, does not bring me confidence that they know we want it. It is currently extremely difficult to host a tournament between players at this time due to MMR differences. I would love to see this to resolve that issue along with being able to play with friends (3v3 or 6v6).
@south bane Need to edit the Message since you forgot to mention spectators aswell
Good point
It is very overlooked but aint nobody gonna be able to show the world unless you do it in a scuffed way like for 3v3
but that is hella taxing on production
also things like selecting servers in settings should not be this deep
Custom Matchs The fast as possible!!
As a willing and motivated tournament organizer, the fact that the game doesn't have a Custom Game system of any kind is singlehandedly preventing a flourishing competitive scene for this game.
Queue sniping was cute, but its crazy we even have to resort to that.
This is also great for team practices. Giving us the ability to train seekers to avoid bludgers/practice bumping or allow keepers to practice saving goals would elevate the competitive scene to whole new levels
You read my mind 🔥🔥
THIS!!!!! WE NEED
co-op before custom matches is crazy should’ve been added at launch
As a willing and motivated tournament participant i have to agree. Not only is it stressful for players/teams but on those willing to put it on. It wastes a lot of time, and more over makes staying warm as a player that much harder. It's not like it would take long to implement either, it's honestly astonishing that we got "exhibition games" and not customs
It was the best troll they did before launch
.

The fact they released 6v6 barely 2 months after release, following a public outcry in playtest actually fills me with confidence. No doubt they already had a lot of deadlines for season pass and other rewards that was already in the pipeline, but they pivoted and got us what we asked for. It's rare to see big videogames company actually taking feedback, and I think they did well.
I do look forward to custom lobby and I'm sure we'll get them. I suggested in another thread #1304676458173693983 that you could even have an option for 1 or 2 referee spot so commenters or friends could join with their model and fly around looking at the action without being able to interact with. Idk if it'd be doable or actually fun, but the idea of seeing a Madam Hooch character as main POV while commenters narrate the action in tournament appeals to me XD
.
Yeap, we want this. Hopefully with a spectator mode.
Please, if anything, Devs, this must be the top priority. When we ask for customs, we are referring to private-server-matches where a total of twelve players can connect, select their custom-input-named team with custom colourations, without the need to queue-snipe.
Ideally this would also provide a spectator mode for other players to view but not participate in the game, whether by following a player model, ball, or viewing the match in a free-floating camera. Additionally, watchers could have the otpions to use chants, cheers, and spark-like fireworks to cheer on their team.
Additionally, for these private server, perhaps consider mutator settings like boost efficiency, ball movement speed, knockout timer settings per role, friendly fire options, and any number of options. For reference, this would be most akin to a Rocket League private match. Please take a leaf from their book and follow suit as soon as possible, this is absolutely integral for competitive tournaments being les by the community.
We NEED your help Devs, please.
These servers could be hosted by the player who created the server lobby, helping to provide the best geographical server for multi-regional teams based on the placement of the host between distant teams.
Absolutely agree with this! Custom matches are a cornerstone for both casual and competitive play. They allow teams to practice strategies, players to hone their skills in controlled settings, and communities to organize tournaments without the headache of MMR or queue sniping. The addition of spectator mode would also elevate this game by enabling content creators and tournament organizers to showcase gameplay to a wider audience, driving more interest and engagement.
Many successful competitive games have incorporated custom match systems to empower their communities. For example, the Madden NFL franchise offers customizable matches where players can create private games with their own rules and settings, allowing for tailored tournaments, creative gameplay challenges, and focused training sessions. It even lets players customize uniforms and logos, adding a personal touch that enhances team identity and player pride. Imagine applying a similar system to Quidditch Champions—teams could design unique uniforms and upload custom emblems to display during matches, adding another layer of immersion and creativity.
Features like private lobbies, spectator tools, custom uniforms, and mutator settings could transform Quidditch Champions into a hub for creativity and competition, much like Rocket League, Madden, and other esports titles. Giving us the ability to express team identity while organizing leagues and practicing in custom environments would elevate this game to the next level. Let’s make this a reality, devs—it’s a win for everyone!

Bump bump bump
As someone wanting to participate in a season long league, this would be so helpful so we don't have to rely upon queue sniping each other. And it would help overall game health at game times as a failed queue results in an abandoned match.
Absolutely absurd that this hasn't been added yet. You have a league of TWENTY SIX teams that have to cross their fingers and hope they get matched with the correct team to play competitive matches.
That's nonsense.
^ L7 is struggling with a lot of dissatisfaction right now that could all be fixed with custom matches. It's 26 teams of 6 players minimum. That's 156 players UBS which is ~80% of your daily peak. We are driving the game, give us the tools and we'll give you the visibility that this game needs for more players, AND it will help new players enjoy the game because team will stop using 6v6 as a scrim. You'll see more SoloQ from higher end players AND newer/lower SR players.
we can all vote that post
i would like a "merry christmast" attitude from the devs giving us custom games a mayor bug update
Not really a bug though
not but why dont sayit everywhere
It could be argued that it's a bug that it's not in the game.
But if we show them through each avenue that we want customs and it's hurting the game without them being around... why not take the chance. Worst case, they close the bug report without taking any action.
for that i made the report, is not an error itself, its an error that is not in the game, something that the player need and is not there
Proposal to bid the server a, "Merry Custom-Match" throughout the Holidays.
since october dreaming with a merry christmas from warner with custom and mayor update santa patch hohoho
Bump, very much needed feature, surprising its not in yet
Please, we are in need of it.
you see the reactions make it happen dammit
Me as a staff member in L7 trying to help games get played and having a failed queue snipe 3+ times in a row. I feel bad for the 3+ games we've prevented from starting. Also RIP Career rank because we are leaving games and just trying to get the league matches started.
I've thought of at least 2 "fun" game modes that we could do with custom lobbies. I really can't wait for custom maps lobbies.
A copy of "operation cwal" might start here in quidditch if it goes much longer.
(Operation cwal[can't wait any longer] is a cheat in starcraft1 based on a community that was waiting for starcraft 1 to be released, and is now a cheat code in starcraft 1 for instant build times.)
3 v 3 only chasers the ones with more time on possession wins XD
That gonna be fun 1 vs 1 beater. Seeker/beater tournaments
Is true that let your mind go crazy the possibility of custom
1 quaffle 20 chasers when???
1 quaffle, 20 chasers, no enhanced possession/tackle radius, fast rogue bludgers, infinite boost, collision damage. A keepaway game mode would go so hard.
I’d rather have 20 quaffes, 1 chaser, 3 seekers - 1 beater BUT there is a rogue bludger so they also get beaten…as for keeper…I don’t care as long as I don’t have to play it 😂
3-v-3 Keepers Only. One per hoop, pong style.
Maybe make it so there isn't a much space between them so the ball can actually go from keeper to keeper, that would be fun!
Have we considered adding 20 quaffles onto the pitch so keepers can have a greater challenge?
Dang wrong chat
Yeah no, having no offline features is why the game is dying. More online features is killing any support for this game.
pleeeeeeeas!
6 vs 6 beaters with only 3 bludgers, points are deaths
CUSTOM MATCHES!
here's to hoping that there is a least a chance for a spectator or two
We did it!
The verdict is still pending 🤣
Ohhh another idea for competitive . Catch the rabbit. Beater vs seeker first kill wins. Or time the seeker till first dead. Team with the seeker longest time alive win
People gonna complain anyways so... But this is something at least
