#House Points

I've said this before in a different feedback thingy but the problem with house points is the skewed distribution of houses worldwide. Like, ravenclaw and gryffindor appear to be much more popular than slytherin and hufflepuff, so those latter two houses would be at a strong disadvantage if this were to be implemented.
Personally I think a good way to do it would be an in-game even where players get randomly put in a team for the duration of the event, or, like some games do, they let you select a team, but once a team is getting highly unbalanced it will close untill the other teams get close to the same amount of players, so in that case you either wait for it to open and risk lossing all rewards for not participating, or chose one of the open ones.
It can indeed be done. 😊
Suppose players would get randomly put in a house for the duration of the event, then those who wouldn't be in their house would feel disappointed and thus demotivated to participate in the event. Same with if houses close because of not being balanced, it will just demotivate people from taking part.
Don't get me wrong. I could see it could go that way, but by not participating the risk of losing all prizes. Wpuld I personally choose Slytherin? Of course! But if I can't, I would chose my next best option over risking a lose of getting 1st place prize.
With that said, more people don't necessarily mean more points. I have seen such events where the group with the least players gets 1st place because they simply played more. We can take as an example "For Honor" or even "Hogwarts Mystery". 😊
maybe devs on the backend could ad points for the amount of players in a house for example slytherin has 1000 members and the other houses have 500 hundred members the devs could add the extra 500 points to get an even baseline and then the rest of points are earned through player actions and as i am typing this i realize it still wouldnt work because the house with more members would still have more opprotunity to earn points
