depends on your bot setup, but run the Lavalink server via a supported java version and then use a library coded in your language of choice to interact with it

#

you don't need lavaplayer unless you use a Java bot

#

even then you don't "need" it, could use Lavalink

that contradicts your earlier statement.

#

you don't need lavaplayer

#

lavaplayer is included in Lavalink

@silver elm
"that has absolutely nothing to do with discord"

Lavalink is for Discord. maybe you're in the wrong place.

#

you can also stop pinging me, we're the only people here

I highly doubt that, i have explicitly mentioned that i did not want to have anything to do with discord bots, and therefore Lavalink and anything related to it falls under the same category.
I am sorry for pinging you !

it's alright

#

not sure where you thought lavaplayer would do things outside of Discord but if you're specifically lavaplayer focused you may want to ask your questions in the JDA discord

In the README of the lavplayer github reposity, it says: "but it can be used anywhere where Opus format output is required."

#

I must respectfully doubt that you get what i am talking about.....
