Hi Google Gemini team,

I’m Mincheol Kwon — a creator and engineer who has built my work, content, and platforms entirely around Google’s AI ecosystem (NotebookLM, Gemini, Jules, Flow, Whisk).

There’s no official track yet for non-student creators or entrepreneurs, but in Korea there’s a rapidly growing wave of engineers, founders, and creators who want to adopt Gemini. I propose to pioneer the first Gemini Community Evangelist role in Korea — amplifying adoption and visibility outside academia.

🙋‍♂️ Why me?
• 📈 Content reach: 14.2M+ Instagram Reels views in first month using a Gemini-powered strategy
• 🛠️ Developer ecosystem: Jules Template, Workromancer Store (AI-driven solutions, based on google jules)
• 👥 Community influence: 810 engineers (Woowacourse), 473 startup founders (CEOS Sinchon), growing YouTube developer audience.
• 🎓 Academic impact: Invited to lecture at Hongik University (Big Data in Business) - introducing Veo3 & Gemini adoption. This may extend into recurring lectures. Blog post in Korean

📌 Upcoming Initiatives
• Woowacourse Offline Meetup: 7 organizers, 41 engineers already signed up.
• Hongik University Seminar(s): September sessions (potentially recurring) to integrate Gemini use cases into academia.
• Seocho-gu AI Booth Event: In front of Hyundai Motor, public institutions, and academia. Backed by AI University partnership (official announcement).

🌏 My ask

I’m not seeking employment. I’m seeking partnership resources — promo codes, early access, workshop materials — to run high-impact events and accelerate Gemini adoption in Korea’s tech and creative communities.

👉 Let’s make Gemini the tool every Korean creator, developer, and entrepreneur is talking about.

Hi Mincheol, thanks for reaching out! I did pass on your message to the team, and while we don't currently have an opportunity available that would suit this, we are working to get something up and running soon. I will be sure to reach out when the time is right. In the meantime, look forward to chatting with you in the server!

Although it is a little unfortunate, I completely understand—decisions of this kind are never made by just a few people.

I have recently been assigned a booth by Seocho District in Seoul under the name AI University(aiuac.kr), a virtual school concept focused on free educational content. I also expect to receive support from the Lovable.dev team. As for Gemini, I will take this opportunity to promote it independently, even without direct support.

It is truly exciting to hear that something is being prepared. When Google takes on an initiative, it always feels different, and I very much look forward to what is to come.

Thank you again for your thoughtful reply.

P.S. In fact, I am having even more fun participating actively in Google Labs these days.

love that companies are still using the “Evangelist” moniker 🤣 Fun fact: Apple did this in the ‘90s and it worked surprisingly well at swooping up top talent who became successful, e.g., Guy Kawasaki.

#

Guy Kawasaki actually popularized it in the first place. It’s a great strategy for anyone interested.

lunar flicker
#

I just used ‘Evangelist’ in more of a symbolic sense—it’s not really about the title itself. But thanks for sharing, I didn’t know that history!

I have a good news. Lovable from Sweden just backed us with a promo code gemini_rocket

Seocho-gu AI Festa Booth on October 18!

Here’s the update:

The estimated number of attendees is 20,000+

At my booth (aiuac.kr) , I plan to show people how to use Gemini on mobile.

First, I’ll have them install the mobile app,
then log in with their Google accounts (since everyone already has one),
and then experience creating videos, generating images, and making storybooks through the Gemini app.

Since Gemini’s app ranking in Korea is currently low, I want to contribute to raising its popularity. 🚀

I’ve officially become an Ambassador for Lovable (the vibe coding product)!
From now on, I’ll be focusing more on Lovable and integrating it into my workflow.
That said, I won’t be giving up on Gemini, since I plan to actively use Gems as part of my process.
Now that the event is over, I’ll soon share a full update, including photos, impressions, and takeaways from the experience. 🤣
If you’re curious, check out my Discord profile, I have a mobile name card, linkedin profile you can look at.

Through my sleek onboarding experience design and free lectures offered via NotebookLM, I provide an engaging way for users to explore how to use Gemini. This initiative will greatly help ordinary citizens in Korea become more familiar with Gemini.

I’ve also prepared some my branded merchandise, which will attract even more interest. It all happens this Saturday.

The attached image is the frame used for photos printed from the photo booth.

Everything’s ready.
I’m thinking of setting the utm_source in the gem share URL to aiuackr 😄

#

I assigned Gemini Gem to handle my topic-specific roles at the booth — like the Veo3 prompt guide, Nanobanana prompt guide, Lovable vibe-coding guide, and booth participation guide.
I’ll present them through a UI I designed with vibe-coding, tailored to attract people’s interest.

I successfully wrapped up the event yesterday.
Our booth is the one with the most people in photo #03.

There were a few things that genuinely surprised me, and I’d like to share an overall reflection on them.

People showed great interest in Veo3.

#

I wish we could’ve used the Gemini logo. 🤣

The event was largely unsuccessful in terms of overall engagement, though it did provide meaningful brand exposure.
Heavy rain until the day before and poor weather conditions on the event day likely contributed to the low turnout.
Additionally, the organizers had overestimated the expected number of participants.

Approximately 300 people visited our booth, with Gemini attracting the most attention in its section.
I prepared a hands-on session centered around Nanobanana and veo3, and interestingly, there was notable engagement from visitors aged 60 and above.

Among them were:
• A person interested in using AI for product advertising
• A long-term AI user who had been writing manuscripts with AI for over a year
• A senior using more than 12 different AI tools

It was surprising to see such a high level of curiosity and practical adoption of AI among senior visitors.
This unexpected demographic insight was one of the most valuable takeaways from the event.

I think this is final sharing for Seocho AI Festa 😁

I’m mainly active on the Labs Discord server. Right now, my rank is 13th, so I’ll be focusing on catching up to Georgia, who’s currently the top-ranked member and the Community Manager. 🤣

If you have any questions, feel free to DM me, or you can find my LinkedIn link in my profile. Keep up the great work on the service ! gemini_rocket

Gen AI services teach me something new every day, haha. Using Gemini Ultra even inspired me to start taking online English classes.

New update! I’m preparing Korean courses for beginners that match the concept of my YouTube channel 🤣

lunar flicker
#
  1. I uploaded two videos: one introducing the channel and one explaining the structure of my Google Flow course.

  2. I gained 22 new followers. (before upload two video, it was 55. 55 -> 77 now)

  3. My course has a modular structure. I'm creating 3-5 minute basic function lessons that will be referenced in the application (advanced) lessons. I believe this structure is suitable for the age of AI competition.

  4. I hope this will be helpful not only to the Labs team but also to the Gemini team.
