Gemini's web interface can already handle latex but Gemini is insanely inconsistent at spitting out latex and doesn't do it by default. When you ask, no matter how specifically you ask it and how descriptive you are about formatting, it just doesn't handle it. This feature is a complete must for me and it's the only thing stopping me from switching to Gemini, and also what makes me never consider Claude. For some reason only GPT-4 is consistent with outputting latex.

@sharp elk It doesn't use latex by default so. But when you ask it for, no matter the instructions, it'll often include it in a codeblock, even when you tell it not to.
