Regarding filtering and politically correct statements - Listen to the people in this group more

There are so many great suggestions that have gone unanswered and unreply to on this channel by Google. Also I myself and many many others have commented on the fact that the AI TOOL changed drastically since Gemini announcement for the worse, since it tries to be overly politically correct response results for no reason at all.

The service does not give you the information you request but gives you some politically correct version of something kinda related to the topic. I and many others in this group have also complained on how easily it is to actually manipulate the results from a prompt.

The bad press regarding prompts surrounding Elon Musk and many other political points would not have taken place if the AI would simply give the information it's asked about and then stop. The AI service should not be doing this type of politically correct filtering. Being blunt the issue is the filtering of information with someone else's politically correct viewpoint.

To help you for free and you are ignoring it versus taking the free information you're given, to actually help you Google. Many of us are trying so hard to help you. Please listen, you would definitely avoid a lot of bad press if you did.

I don't think being rude is very helpful... I also disagree with this. I haven't has any issues with Gemini avoiding controversial topics or being overly politically correct. If you're talking about the image generation thing, they've addressed it in the media and are fixing it?? I don't see the problem 🤷‍♂️

I personally like the image generation thing. If asked and I could supply the URL if it's still available in my history for the image generator to make a more than controversial image and it denied it. I did this because this particular image I usually always post on a certain day of every year going back many years on Facebook and I wanted to see if Google could reproduce it.

I literally in my Gemini search history have all the evidence Google needs to combat all the negative press it's been getting for the last 2 weeks relating to its image creation issues.

I have documented over four different times it denied controversial topics information. And I have seen well over 10 in the last 3 months. On this very discord channel alone so maybe you have not done your research or proper amount of trolling this actual discord channel

And nothing I said was disrespectful or rude at all. Telling someone they do not read or pay attention to the small group of free beta testers is their problem and they need to fix it. I myself have over 20 plus years of professional beta testing experience and that is not even within the last 10 years other than this specific project.

So to think about how people are being ignored and they have all the suggestions they need to solve problems on this very board, I think you are wrong sir.

And you can go read all of the news articles and the editorials related to the Gemini service negatively trending right now.

The perspective is, Gemini has a woke problem it's practices to much so-called wokeism. And to further qualify my statement as a African-American I cannot get certain African-American history facts during Black History month using this tool.

And to add further insult to injury and qualify my statement above the same information is available on Google.com...

Dear Google,

A solution is to point out how Google had to appease hackers many many years ago and say information is free.

Then point out how Gemini can and will protect children from terrible topics and facts readily available on the internet. Other than that we are all adults that engage in non-criminal activity so why does the AI tool need to be so politically correct or woke in the first place.

I agree. I think all censorship of paying customers is a losing game. Google has already solved this. Safe search OFF , safe search ON. You can search for explicit porn using google and quite right as well. If google wants to cede Ai assisted writing and image generation to competitors then thats fine. it just means less people will use GSUITE for their business as it will have censorship built in. Right now I can use Gdocs to edit my erotic novels. I cant use Gemini assistant however. So I just move to Mistral that works better and is uncensored. One thing Google cant censor and mess up is Gemini's excellent code generation capabilities. So happily you can use Gemini to make porn games but not legal adult fiction. Google needs to get OFF the censorship train, customers dont want it and governments dont want it. Its a losing game. Just implimnent censor OFF so we can all get past this nonsense.

I just don't get how Google did not stand up for themselves because I personally made a extremely egregious picture and it's censored it it acted like it did not know how to make pictures anymore. LOL

So when I think of this I'm thinking to myself that safe search idea is the way to go even if they set up a ID verification system. Versus all this bad press about something that they've already tackled many many years ago.

if you want uncensored images btw just use mage.space its the best one by far as its not only uncensored but also allows you to use models from civit.ai very good service.

No I agree it was a mistake but I think being OVERLY cautious is better than the reverse? It's a simple mistake that we've already gone through. The same exact thing happened with Chat GPT being "overly woke" and people were "up in arms" but have already forgotten about it. There are going to be hiccups! It's a part of the learning/ creation process. It's seriously not that big of a deal. They are very aware and are working on it. What more do you want?? This is also a very delicate balance they are trying to work through, it's not a simple fix and I doubt it will please everyone. But this is GOOGLE. These AI are bound to be more politically correct than not? I don't think you fully grasp the complexity around these ideas. It's not as simple as "stop being so woke". You act like Google isn't aware of all the bad press? TRUST ME... they are. They're spending a LOT of money trying to figure this out. Relax.
