New Kerbals would have to be recruited instead of procedurally generated. To recruit them the player would have to open the Kerbal tab on the VAB and click on a small window portrait just after the last Kerbal portrait with a plus sign instead of a Kerbal.
When clicked the portrait would show from top to bottom a list of procedurally generated candidates with portraits and their Courage/Stupidity traits shown to the right of said portraits
On top of the list there would be a refresh button to redo the candidates list and find the ideal candidate.
Amongst the existing candidates we could make it so that there could be a chance for “shiny” Kerbals to appear (Kerbals based on famous aerospace figures like Maverick Kerman or Yuri Kerman)
Also, it would be very cool if by right clicking on the portrait of a Kerbal you could get access to a mini resume of sorts with a description unique for some Kerbals and previously generated from a template for others along with their traits and ribbons (again, Wayfarer’s ribbons)
Movement for Kerbals could also be expanded upon by adding free fall animations, a more satisfying jumping animation, emotes and even rag doll physics (like in the original game)
We could also add more suits that fit better the types of missions carried out
EVA suit (can perform EVA’s in space)
Pilot suit (can tolerate more G-forces)
Scuba suit (can swim further underwater)
The suits could be selected at the Kerbal resume terminal by clicking on an icon associated with each suit

Could we also have a custom Kerbal maker?
There's a mod where you can choose a Kerbal's name
But I mean choosing the looks as well
If I remember correctly the looks is generated from the name so that would mean fundamentally changing the way Kerbals are generated
The document above shows that there are ways to add custom kerbals (in this case made to resemble the developers) by setting a series of statistics right?

I do remember seeing that in the code. There is an RNG chance the kerbal spawner will pull a name from a predefined list.
