Make engines require electric and fuel for a challange in this mod

These sound like a bunch of different mods that are not necessarily related. Some would be parts mods (e.g., the quantum thruster and robo-arm - though in those cases they share little if any commonality), and some would be feature mods (e.g., the orbit optimization module and advanced landing assist module). The Orbit Optimization module seems like it would be satisfied by using the existing mod: Flight Plan. That's already optimizing things for fuel efficiency in most ways. Also for landing (and much more) there is the K2-D2 mod. There is also the Kontrol System 2 mod which can do these things in a more scripted flight kind of way. So I think there may already be good solutions in place for those parts of what you're suggesting.

I'm currently working on a parts mod to bring in some of the Near Future Propulsion engines that Nertea has in his KSP1 mod. They will have all new art, and not be one for one identical in general, but there will be Hall Effect Thrusters, Gridded Ion Thrusters, etc. So electric engins are on the way.

As for the more SciFi fictional kinds of things, once I've got some real thruster modeled I may be interested in making a line of Epstein drives (from The Expanse) and possibly an Astrophage drive (from Project Hail Marry). These sorts of things would give you an effect along the lines of what you've described.

There are some who're working on weapons mods. Is that what you mean?

i was thinking about like space combat or if people added like random debris/asteroids in space.
