I’ve gone through a 3 yr battle with sh and now I have finally healed. Unfortunately, I have quite bad scarring. Whenever I go out, my mother makes me wear a hoodie and completely cover my legs. Is it okay that she’s doing that?

If you're like 12, I could maybe understand that. If you're 15-18? eehhh... if you're not afraid/ashamed to show your scars, that's your decision. She's free to express that she would prefer you cover up, but it should be your final decision whether to do so or not.

does she physically force you or does she strongly tell you that you "need" to put on this hoodie and pants or whatever? but yeah it should be your choice whether you cover them up or not. it's your body. and does she do this every day? if so I don't know if it gets too hot in your area, but if it does, that's very dangerous. this whole situation makes me think she thinks it's not ok and she thinks it's something to be ashamed of when it is not!!! I think you should say something to her about this. I'm glad you've healed though, I know that must've been such a long, tough, journey. nice job man.

I live in Australia, so it does get pretty damn hot around here. She physically won’t let me go out without covering up, and she does not give me a choice.
