Hi! Im Ayden, I live in Washington State with my Mom. She knows im gay when I first came out in 2023 she was supportive and convinced me to join the GSA(Gay-Straight Allience) at my school, but fast forward to now she got annoyed whenever I mention anything relayed to lgbtq and she would scold or lecture me whenever I pick girls clothes at the store. And she tells bme things like "I prefer you not to be gay" "I think your at school friends are influencing you to be gay" "May God help you"
But here's the main thing my family who most of them live in Kenya are more homophobic than my mom, they tell me things like "Homosexuality is demonic" or "Homosexuality will not work in the name of Jesus you were born a man and you need to act like one". Fortunately I get support at school, my counselors are very nice and supportive and they give me things like cosmetics that are donated but whenever im at home I dont talk to my mom at all because I have a personal dislike for homophobic people.
