Why does a CIS ppl "label" and a TRANS ppl "label" exist? Like if a trans woman is the same as a cis woman, why would we put the trans woman in the TRANS label/category and the cis woman in the CIS label/category? Why should the trans woman has a label who tells that she changed gender from her gender at birth? Does it rly matters? Why putting ppl in categories that much? If a trans woman and a cis woman is the same thing then why a trans woman cant use the cis label? Same for the cis woman? (IM NOT HATING BTW JST CONFUSED abt this AND my gender 😭)

To me personally, transitioning has been a long and slow enough journey that it has become part of my identity, everything I've been through just to get to live the same way that a cis woman would take for granted without even considering it. I feel like it's personal preference if you want/identify with the label, you SHOULD be considered a woman, simple as that, cis or trans

A woman is a woman, whether cis or trans. There is no obligation to add an adjective to "I'm a woman". However there are many reasons why cis and trans adjectives exist:

  • the personal experiences are very different
  • it helps finding a community who have a similar experience to yours
  • it's a shortcut to explain to others certain specificities of your body (periods, medical care, family planning etc.) without using complex or humiliating periphrasis
  • same when talking about a group of people
  • it helps newbies to understand their feelings and that they are not alone
