I'm very sorry for asking for help here and not in "bugs-suggestions", because at some reason I can't write a post there.

It seems my cat is broken. The counter won't disappear. When I click on the cat, time goes, but when I move the cursor away, the counter freezes. I have the "Auto Counter Hide" setting enabled, and it used to work earlier, but now I bought Teddy skin to support a charity, and the counter won't hide anymore. I tried pressing F2, but the counter disappears for half a second and then reappears. I tried deleting the game and reinstalling it, but that didn't help. What can I do about this? 🙁

Yes, it registers clicks and updates the frozen timer when I click the mouse and press keys on the keyboard anywhere else, but afterward the timer freezes again and does not hide.

I found out that if "Chest Popup" setting turned off, then the counter is hiding without any problem. But in that case I don't get notification that I can open the chest :c
And if I turn "Chest Popup" setting on, it shows counter with countdown and it won't hide again, and freeze if I move cursor away. Am I cursed? :с

im still trying to understand what the explanation means, it also appears multiple people have reported the bug or something similar. yet i also cant replicate whatever it is they are explaining. the only possible bug i have noticed is that "Auto Hide Counter" will show the counter if you hover over any Cat gameobject, not just the local cat.

despite not understanding the explanation, it sounds like they are describing issues with the "rendering on demand" and it seems like it stops rendering when there is no mouse interaction. yet another thing I havent replicated.

Marcel just took a look at this since i had the same problem. should be fixed now. if you just bought the skin then to gift it, there's going to be a cooldown before you can actually trade it. But otherwise, i think you're in the clear.

just a heads up that after your friend accepts the trade, there's going to be a few days before it lands in their inventory (that's a steam problem). but they'll get it

ive only modded windows apps, but in theory, with wine/proton + modding, it may be possible to add partial linux support?
i would try it myself to give you all linux support, but i dont have a linux OS to test it on. it's just a theory though as i've never developed for Linux, dont know how modding might work with Wine either nor if its even possible to access native Linux API via Wine

outside of that, i believe you will run into issues with "clickthrough" and "transparent window" as those are native windows features. and maybe other features like keyboard/mouse hook

you are likely refering to a different application, you'd have to ask the person what application they are using. but its likely something related to streaming/obs. there is a plugin for OBS called "Bongobs Cat Plugin" that tracks mouse and keyboard input. ive never tried it though, and it's not meant for using outside of streaming. im not aware of any other applications that have a bongo cat with keyboard/mouse. be careful with whatever applications you download though as they may not be trustworthy.

without researching myself, id say you could ask AI more details, its great with brainstorming. as long as you give AI as much detail as possible it tends to point you in the right direction. you could ask it if there is an application similar to "Bongo Cat" on steam, that includes a mouse and keyboard overlay. but as mentioned, be careful with whatever you try.

The game can't be exclusive full screen or it will make the screen only allow the game itself. Only windowed full screen (borderless window)

If it was bedrock it could be worked around. For java version you could try an app called "borderless gaming" in steam. But it's not intuitive and doesn't work for all games

Marvel Rivals/FPS games get me a lot of bongo beats but rhythm games also do well. Helldivers is a good one too because of all the strategem inputs but you could also play Stratagem Hero on your ship if you have that edition and don't feel like doing missions.

really surprised to see a game have so many netwrk issues. i never would have imagined steam being so unreliable. even accunting for user network issues. is your network common to have issues? is the bandwidth or speed low? poor wifi signal? mobile network? vpn?

Yeah, I think that's the cause of my issue, too. My Internet connection is 1000Mbps, and it doesn't really have any problem most of times, but for few days, I've seen it's really really slow on loading media of... let me say, overseas such as Steam. I suspect my Internet provider is having issues on overseas lines.

Or maybe Steam itself is not very stable now.

yu could also check Steam download region (Settings → Downloads → Download Region)

but i doubt that would effect gameplay, i assume steam client handles the servers automatically based on geographic location and other means.

if you like, you can send the log file, but i assume its just connnection issues.

I think auto exchanging keeps at least one items of each skin, unless you click the last one to exchange and click auto button to fill the other 9 skins.

I found the solution of being empty skin inventory. It's because of Steam server status is high load in my region. In Steam client settings, changing my download region to somewhere near but different country fixed all the issues I've had for 4 hours.

they are different items. you have 1. the regular advent calendar, 2. the deluxe (paid for) advent calendar and 3. the event items that you get through chests

I purchased the deluxe advent calendar. For some reason in the collections tab, there is only the Free Advent Calendar showing but not for the deluxe one. I wonder if it's intentional or a bug?

To clarify, I know the calendar is in the heart tab. I'm talking about the collections tab showing what I got in the Free calendar but not showing one for the Deluxe calendar.

sorry if im being stupid - but are the 25 drops in the free advent calendar different to the 25 drops in the deluxe? ill play everyday so if its just the normal one but "Once bought allows you to get all the deluxe items from 1st December until 25th December, even after the event ends" then i don't need to purchase it 🤔

Saved up since Halloween. 103 exchanges (includes emojis) with 4/4 blue and 3/4 green winter skins/hats down. 1 duplicate new skin. 8 winter drops in rerolling 1030 items (includes emojis so maths obvs a bit off) but, 257.5 hours for 1030 items to be rerolled... Will be another month of Bongo Cat never leaving my PC (which im not sad about)
Now to reroll the new drops from the above rerolls 😅 - 🤞 for last 10 to be anything new or even a purple

in my last 10 rerolls as well, i did just get another TWO "earfit pompom hat" - so at least for all of us getting greens and blues in rerolls - i think we're good 💪

it averaged more at 1 in four from my experience

we shall see. but the general frustration was that people couldnt realiistically get higher tiered event items. lowering the tiers for some of the event items surely helps but will have to see in practice

the drop rate last event was good, just the tiers were the issue

(well from hardcore user perspective)
its probably still an issue for casual users though

If you want to collect every item, you either need to be incredibly lucky (very lucky) or you need to have money.
Because even if you spend 20 hours playing every day, you might never get all the collectibles.
