Well that's not entirely true.
Your lifetime clicks are preserved and are counted towards the achievements.

But your points in the bar, are consumed to open the chests, enough activity can outweigh the half hourly cost

No, because it's not worth it to farm thousands of items and then sell them, giving money to steam.

Where as with trading, you can farm thousands of items and funnel them for free to one account, getting free legendaries through tradeups.

I'm not sure why you don't understand that lol

If you're gonna try and farm thousands of items and trade them to your account through the market, people with buy orders will snipe it, and if you're spending the money, you might aswell give the natural $ amount to someone actually selling it for it to be cheaper

Therefore, it makes the strategy obsolete. As far as having lots of accounts farming items for the purpose of selling on the market, all that money will be divided and not easily combined together to be useful. Making that also obsolete.

Does that make sense how it solves the problem?

If trades were active and market was not, then these problems exist. But if market is active and trading isn't, there's still atleast an economic eco-system that can't really be exploited.

The only other realistic option is disabling them both

It's been discussed before but it's not possible due to how steam's item drop system works. There's no way for the devs to create different purchase options for different pooled items.

Of course there is always that chance that could change, but considering it's not tied necessarily to a specific event other than the release of multiplayer, and it's work to then have that changed from dropping to not dropping, I am doubtful.

Your usage will increase your points, which you use 1k of to be able to claim the chest

I'm not sure if we can obtain rare and up rarities through the chests though----

I don't doubt, but I have like 400k total clicks and have only gotten common and uncommons in the chests
So to get items or better rarities you need to trade those commons and uncommons

it seem like that the game will tell me that something goes wrong on every click to the box

but whenever i click it it will give me an item

that means i can get an item per min

i found it by wrong and didnt use it after finding dont ban me 🙁

You need to wait 30 minutes with bongo cat on, for a chest to appear. If you have at least 1.000 inputs (you can see the current score in the box under the cat), you can use them to "buy" the chest. Then you get a random item.
If you exchange 10 items of the same rarity, you get another one randomly that is more rare than the ones you had exchanged.

See attached screenshot - I've had this installed for a few days and all of a sudden I can no longer join others' lobbies. I can create a lobby and navigate throughout freely this is the only thing that stopped working for some reason. Ive tried to "update and restart" (multiple times) , update my entire computer, end steam from system tray and restart and still nothing. any suggestions 🙁 please and thank you!
