Loot chests cost 1000 taps to open per drop, so for one emote chest and one item chest, you set yourself back 2k every collection

It's fairly inexpensive since taps accumulate very quickly! If you only want one or the other specifically for some reason though, left chest is the one that drops emotes while right drops skins and hats 😄

3.) Buy them off the Steam Market

Well, it takes time 😅 For example, if Bongo is running 8 hours a day, that’s around 32 opened chests (item and emoji ones), which means about 3 exchanges per day. So overall it comes out to roughly a month, and the achievement will be completed
