All these dang 09ers are too busy using their “drive rush” and “drive impact” (which are broken and reward the worst player) to appreciate what real street fighter is. I started back in ‘21, and let me tell ya, that was the golden age. Everyone did their own motion inputs with their own two hands, none of this “modern” controls for slobbering infants. Back then, we had to google the optimal combos for ourselves, not just let the game play for itself!! At that point, you might as well play cookie clicker or something! Whats that, you say? Cookie clicker doesn’t have any cammy wearing tight pants? Well, ok, you have me there. But seriously, what has street fighter become!!! I remember when street fighter used to be about popping v trigger and using Luke, but now it feels like capcom just hates their franchise and has decided to ruin it for no reason by making it more accessible, interesting, and fun for new players. Does anyone else relate??

Is it me, or M. Bison's AI is smarter than other CPUs of the same difficulty? Seems like he does far more combos than other CPUs of the same difficulty and is generally harder

Also True Akuma in the SFII ladder is really strong even on the "Easy difficulty". I just got this game a week ago or so and I beat everyone on easy as Ryu, but True Akuma double perfected me

I just picked this up in the Humble Bundle they had with it.

JURI HELP GUYS

Why does st.MK → MK Fuha Release combo in SFV if hitstun seems too short?

st.MK has 5/4/15 frames (startup/active/recovery) and is +1 on hit.

I cancel it on the first active frame, so effectively I get +3 frames extra.

MK Fuha Release has 23 startup.

By my calculation, the hitstun from st.MK is:
recovery + on-hit advantage + 3 extra frames = 15 + 1 + 3 = 19 frames

Which still seems shorter than the 23f startup of MK Fuha Release.

Yet in the game, the combo does connect on hit.

Am I misunderstanding how hitstun works for cancels, or is there some SFV mechanic (hitstop, cancel windows, etc.) that explains this?
