Cursor keeps applying old cached changes whenever project is opened

I have a specific repository that I was using cursor on about 6 months ago. It made some changes that I didn't accept or decline, but just closed the project. Since then, every time I open the project, the same changes get applied automatically, like they are cached somewhere.
I tried deleting and re-installing cursor, but to no avail. Is there a way to clear the cached changes somehow?
