Undead, feathermane, mechanical, blood beast, direhorn, and cloud serpent pets cannot be tamed by default. Only hunters of certain races can tame them by default and every other hunter has to acquire the appropriate taming manual
If you go to the petopia website, it will tell you if a certain pet family requires a special tome to tame them and where you can get it from

I think the callings are the same, no matter what covenant you are in. Not sure if you can just turn them in to your new covenant or if you have to abandon them and pick them up from the new covenants quest givers. You wouldn't be able to turn them in to your old covenant since you can't get back into their home base.

Oh yeah. I forgot about that. I think you just pick up the ones from your new covenant and they will jsut disappear as their time expires. I don't see any way that you could turn them in since you can't enter the old sanctum.

Like, i've tried Dragon Soul trinket on a dummy and it didn't work. However, with WoD trinket, they do work.
So my "theory" is if a level 60 can trigger WoD(lvl 40 to enter) raid trinket but cannot trigger MoP(lvl 35 to enter) raid.
And in case of TW Legion, up to Cata and Pandaria trinket would work (unsure about Outland and Northrend)
So i'd like to see if there was a way to view a trinket data for the "hidden lvl requiremenet" for it ti proc (which if in the case it's impossible, then i have no choice to await for the specific TW to be on and see it for myself)

The main reasons that demon hunters and death knights aren't recommended for new players is that they start at a slightly higher level and with an alternate start. If you're new and don't know how the new leveling system or Chromie Time functions you can become easily lost. It's strongly recommended that you make a different class first and then play the default path if it's your first time--which would be 1-10 in Exile's Reach and then 10-50 in the Battle for Azeroth content zones of Zandalar or Kul Tiras

Well WrA is basically the best realm ever so I don't see how picking it would be wrong, but it's really not a big deal. Server transfers exist, and if you haven't even leveled a character and joined endgame yet then you're not really losing anything rolling a new one somewhere else
WrA also has plenty of communities that still do mythic dungeons, raids, and pvp as well so it's not like you're going to miss out on people to play with that do PvX content

When playing on a connected realm, do I get to see players from all other realms connected to the one I'm playing on, walking next to me ?

You might be able to sim the difference, but 80 will definitely outperform 40 just due to the extra conduit slots, extended soulbinds tree, and empowered conduits. You can get to 80 renown in less than a day or a week though so I wouldn't worry too much about it
Hell, now you can get an alt to 80 renown without even touching the covenant campaign
Basically the same day you get it to level 60, to boot

Use Call Pet to select one of your active pets. If your active pet is dead, use Revive Pet from your pet utilities to rez it. If it's wounded, use Mend Pet (replaces Revive Pet if your pet is active and not dead) or Feed Pet on the type of food your pet eats

Using the ingame Guild & Communities window is a great place to start. Using that you can browse through listings of recruiting guilds (they have to repost their ad, so it's not like you'll run into an ad for a dead guild) and narrow them down with search criteria
And ofc if one guild isn't right for you, there's nothing wrong with giving a few a go until you find the right one

BUT, there is a time limit where you can get score for a run in every m+ dng after the timer ran out

You will have to steel yourself to the fact that you'll have to guild hop a bit before finding a good guild fit. A good time to look for a raiding guild is when a new raid opens or a patch drops, cuz guilds tackle the new content. If you've been pugging in the meantime in order to learn/build yourself up, it helps

@tired nimbus It’s a common bug that occurs. The easiest way to fix it is to walk away from the entrance to where you entered the cave and then walk back towards the waterfall.

You cant lower the eye of the jailer, you can remove it by doing the 9.1 questchain that starts of by entering thorgast and creating your first legendary, but after that you will have a chapter or 2 where you have to quest in the maw, which would be hard with the eye of the jailer at 5 stacks, so i would suggest doing it tommorow when the eye resets@dry reef
(Side note: If you die in the Maw, you dont actually die, you just get teleported to the Venari camp if i know right, so you dont have to retrieve your corpse from the map)

Sadly, those addons actually are more of a crutch than a benefit. They lull you into thinking you are actually learning your rotation, but they cant actually provide such info as your rotation varies wildly based on gear, talents, stats, etc.
Try checking out the Rogue discord, they'll give you all the info you need to play your spec optimally

While those are still stuck, I have gotten Orgrimmar to 7,189/12,000 and thunderbluff never got stuck at friendly either, it is in honored and still going. I’m thinking it’s some weird glitch or rep restriction for 24 hours or something but idk

Chromie time is a way to change the expansion you’re currently leveling in but if this is your first character you’ll but stuck in BfA and seeing as you’re on a trial account I’m gonna assume it’s your first.
But with that being said when you unlock the game outside of the trial account BfA has more dungeons you get to do then once you reach shadowlands (and buy it) you I’ll get access to 4 more dungeons at 50 and then 5 more at 60

You can either continue playing an existing character, make a new character on another server, or pay for a server transfer of one of your characters. If you're new enough that you haven't leveled to cap and are only concerned with a level 20 trial character, it's really no loss to make a new one

Heyo all! Played WoW on-and-off since release. I've reached endgame in every expansion but only did proper raiding in WotLK when I owned a small raiding guild.
Got to level 60 when shadowlands released but wasn't much going on at the time so I left. I've just come back and there is TONS to do. Was wondering if I could get any pointers

I've just unlocked void elves and lightforged draenei with my lvl 60. I've only been playing about a month, so this is new to me. I want to unlock the Mechagnomes next, but I'm not sure how to pick up the Mechagonian Threat questline as of patch 9.1.5. Reading through posts online I believe I need to complete the 3 Foothold stories on Zandalar and then Island Expedition quest. I already have the required status with the Alliance groups.
This should then open the Nazjatar questline series beginning with the Wolf's Offensive. I just wanted to ask if anyone could tell me if this is the right path to unlock the mechagnome on alliance

Well, you have to take into account that these steps came out live as content was being released and in a specific order, with months in between them in many cases

Alright so after completing the alliance war campaign, I still wasn't getting The Wolf's Offensive to start. It turns out that is no longer required. Instead, I had to go to the Earthen Guardian in Boralus and go pick up the Heart of Azuroth. After that, per support article 240925 from Blizzard, you pick up Send the Fleet from Genn Greymane to start the adventures to Nazjatar.
What a convoluted mess.

i am looking for a good instance/dungeon map, I have Atlas and Zygor maps but these maps are static and dont show your position as you move througb the instance. Carbonite has a minimap that is dynamic but it so small and I have tried the options to maximize it w/o avail. Is thier a good map add-on that has maps pre-loarded and shows your position as you move within the dungoen. TY!!!

WoD lvling is considered pretty fast, so if you are a dps you could do that while you wait for a queue. Same appliess to tanks and healers, they might just get a group together faster

***NOTE, leveling in WoD is only effective if you're using Chromie Time. If you're still a new player or haven't leveled to 50 and unlocked Chromie Time, the recommended leveling route from 10-50 is questing in BfA content
And on top of that, leveling in WoD is only the most efficient if you're taking advantage of the density of content

I have been playing classic since nov(SoM launch) and i didnt really touch retail since. Almost got my first char to 60. I have a lot of fun doing dngs mainly, but finding ppl to quest is also pretty enjoyable. BUT lvling is a lot slower than retail, so if your goal is to get to SFK you will have to spend a lot of hrs lvling there.

Instead you should catch up on lore via Nobbel87 on youtube, or by reading wowpedia articles as you go along. In retail, new players start off in the zone Exile's Reach for levels 1-10 which is a newer experience designed to teach you the basics. Levels 10-50 are by default in the previous expansion content of Battle for Azeroth, with 50-60 being in the current expansion Shadowlands content. Once you've leveled a character to 50 your first time you can access the Chromie Time feature on future characters, allowing you to level 10-50 in the expansion content you wish. All previous expansion zones are still accessible on retail
The WoW Classic and TBC Classic novelty game modes are included with a subscription or active gametime with retail--and in retail you have the option to exchange gold for WoW Tokens which you can then redeem for either 30 days of gametime or $15 into your Blizzard account
My recommendation is to get caught up with the current patch content and endgame--after that, it's much easier to backtrack and experience the game as you wish
