i hovered between 30-50mil
elite status wealth had untold 100's of millions

i guess the average casual player has around 50k-100k gold. That means someone who doesnt give a fuck about professions, crafting, auction house and stuff just questing, dungeons and selling trash and whatever. up to 500k you get the people that spend some time with profession and auction house. from there we have the TSM Addicts and Boosters who get paid in gold. But thats just how i would categorize it. never have been one to farm much more gold than needed

you can go in and out as many times as you want but you can only kill the boss once per instance lock, which lasts an entire week (until next reset)

lets say you played for some time, reached shadowlands, reached lv. 60 then you would have to unlock flying to be able to compete with other farmers, get yourself a sky golem (or being a druid) which will cost you around 50k in itself +- a few 10k depending on realm and then you could get into herb gathering for example. i wouldnt even think about it until you have played for some time

that is generally the route i suggest for new players:
Free til lv. 20
Sub til lv. 50
Shadowlands til lv. 60

That way you dont pay more than you really have to

and especially at the beginning where you dont even know if you like the game there is no point in paying for a sub. you would just force yourself to play more since you payed for it

i dont know exactly what the difference here is but one of those IDs seems to refer to the oil as an item (which also acts as the Spell ID for the Buff "casting" for the polish stuff) and the other here refers to the "casting" of the buff for the oil

did you actually hover over the buff applied in the top right hand corner or did you hover over the item itself?

i looked for another weakaura for oils and it seems you have to check for an item type -> weapon enchantment -> Main Hand or Offhand and then you can enter an enchantment ID. i would just try the ids you tried before in there

yeah as a rogue i have 2 different enchantments thats right but i would use the same oils on both (if i were to use oils at all i usually use sharpening stones or whatever they are called)

the googlez tells me to use handy notes - but i tried that and various plugins and none of them seem to work

I dont think there is one which marks vendors but there would be too many on too tight spaces anyway. HandyNotes is a nice addition tho for spots of interests for treasures, mounts, toys, pets and shit. TomCats Tours shows info about all rares on the map and that should give you enough info. i'll have a look at cartographer tho

you cant fly in Shadowlands or BFA areas for a while so it isnt super important atleast, but yeah as that dude said gold just comes over time from quests and just selling gear you come across. i wouldnt say farming gold is worth it before Shadowlands content

Thats still exactly what handynotes should provide. Some things are even integrated into the default map like dungeon and raid entrances and old pvp vendors. For daily quest markers i think you would need to install BtWQuests on top of that but besides that you should see a bunch of markers for rares and treasures.

I really need to learn more german btw lol - I used to live in germany for 2.5 years (military) - learned enough basics to get by reading/speaking very simple stuff - always wanted to finish learning. the problem is even if im studying it and learning it, here in the states theres not much chance to use it and practice it on the regular. basically i'd just be able to start setting things to german and watching german spoken movies/dubs. which won't involve me speaking it much

Low level pvp isnt that popular, it has really long queues, and at low level you cant really ,,get geared up really well", but there is rhe option to twink, but that is a whole other story
My advice is to level to 50/60 and start doing pvp then

You wont reach it with levelling, but fast flying isnt important while you are leveling, and you will get the gold for it around lvl 45-46
But you are gonna have the gold for slow flying for sure when you hit 30, so you will be able to fly

i've been having an ingame problem with my covenant feature. I'm at Rank 3 Path of Ascension for Kyrian but so far i only have the first 6 bosses unlocked and no quests are appearing to unlock the last 4 bosses that should've been unlocked at Tier 2. I tried to file a bug report but got nothing back

Frost does stable/sustained damage
And has a lot of crowd control abilities like freezes and stuns.

Fire does a lot of dmg quickly then does much lower dmg once the big abilities are recharging,
A burst type of playstyle.

Arcane is harder to play,but it is all about managing mana,
You do high dmg,then low dmg then high dmg, and has some interesting tools later on to reset your big abilities like an ability called alter time

It is all down to what playstyle he likes the most

M10 is weird. People won't invite you just because of ilvl a lot of the time so you're looking at 220 or so

It's daunting getting into the seasonal affix, but a 10 is arguably easier than an 8 - better teammates, the bonuses from the affix are massively helpful

I personally reccomend doing close to ten (7-9 ish) till a little closer to 220 ilvl and when you're more comfortable with the spec as difficulty increases, then try some 10-11 and get used to the seasonal affix

Like have a look at the seasonal affix- massive increases to damage and survivability

Heroic raids would probably be 230ish? Ideally you do them with a group and not pugs, though, and the guild may have more specific requirements

You can definitely get into normal raids though. For gear it isn't really worth pugging normals but you get shards, gear with domination sockets, experience of like half the mechanics you'll see in Heroic

Torghast

Soul ash gains were doubled in 9.1 to compensate for two new tiers of higher ilvl legendaries being made available, so it isn't that bad to get them

Basically just alternate between the two floors of Torghast that arnt Twisting Corridors. Layer eight is relatively easy then there's a large jump to floor 9; just hitting layer 8 in both different queues of Torghast is enough for an ilvl190 legendary, a little bit of grinding or do it next week aswell and you have a 210 instead.
You can upgrade legendaries later so don't worry about crafting a low one now

Covenant campaign should introduce you to Torghast so do it after the introductory quest

Sharpen Blade increases the damage of Mortal Strike but has a lower Mortal Wounds duration

Maybe you're trading Mortal Wounds for damage

Feral Druid and Affliction Warlock would be arguably the worst specs in the game currently but they are still timing m+20 which is far ahead of what your average player will do

So honestly, go with what you find fun. For like 95% of the playerbase you will get better value out of a class/spec you enjoy playing rather than what is technically best for extremely competitive content

Same with races, they're meaningless. I'm was making my new characters Goblins for the boots but that has no meaningful impact, just I figure why not cause I don't care for aesthetics

i just have a question regarding players in the zones of WOW.
I just reached level 60 and i'm doing my main quest so i have to go either in Bastion, Ardenweald etc...
Although, when i type /who in the chatbox, i see always +50 people in the zones, but when i actually walk around, i dont see anyone !! Therefore the zones feels empty and i lost the MMO feeling.
Is it only me or it also happens to you ?

Its a system called "sharding" to reduce lag and reduce the load on the servers

It breaks people up into smaller subservers called shards to make sure there is no lag or too much strain on the server

Yes - he casts a mind control spell at 15 seconds into combat, so you have to nuke him before that or else he resets the instant you are taken out of combat with the MC.
