You need to finish it. It takes around 7-8 hours so you should be fine

But yea don't use "quest skip" addons on your first char. Once you have done it all the way through then go ahead and use em on an alt but learning what's going on is important. And they explain that through quests

So when I look at wowhead .com at say the chromatic sword for example, there’s a statement “players can win this item using the following class specializations” and Druid isn’t listed. Does that mean chromatic sword won’t drop if I’m a Druid? I’ve seen that on a couple items where only a few classes are listed

They would need to completely rebuild the UI. In its current form, the buttons on the screen are too small to use on a tiny mobile screen. They also only recently added experimental gamepad support, which was already a rather challenging thing to do, as WoW classes are able to use dozens of different abilities, so that works best on a full keyboard. And even after all of this, you would need to port a PC-only game to a completely different processor architecture (from x86 to ARM), which I suspect would require additional effort, unless they let someone like Nvidia to put it on a game streaming platform.

A lot has changed in that regard after patch 9.0 late last year. The game explains concepts to new players much better. Just jump in a try it out, it's free until level 20. And if you have a problem with something, you can always google your answer or ask here if that didn't work.

In Oribos, where you talked to the representatives of four covenants. And at the end you told that you wanted to join one. If you want to change it, you can go back to that place and change it.
If you never did any of that, then you did not actually pick your covenant yet.

Situational on what you want to do - when leveling, you're going to be doing the same thing across all the classes, killing stuff before it kills you, but once you're max level, playing a certain class can be a benefit or detriment to your experience

Mage does high damage, so it's a lot of fun to play, which means a lot of players play it - like all "damage dealing" classes. You'll have an easier time leveling but if you want to raid or do mythics, end-game stuff, you'll find it hard to get into groups because there's many other damage dealing classes
You play a tank, such as a warrior or paladin, and you're going to have no issues doing end-game stuff. People will beg you to join them. However, some say it's not as fun to level with because it's more difficult.

Looking for some help with a macro - I know there is no pause function however I've got target markers set to MWup and MWdown and the issue I have is that if I scroll past the first notch it removes the marker. Is there some way to get a GCD forced into the macro so that I can "whip the scroll wheel" up or down to mark things and it only takes the input once or doesn't let the macro repeat for at least a second? I mean to put it into perspective most people asking these questions are probably gonna reach 1.6k as max which is 213 loot which would be 207 in pve. Meaning realistically that just based on (im using this patch like itlvls) i doubt people will be enticed to push that much for low gear. I sure as hell wouldnt push for 1.8k for a 213 item when thats the heroic raid level. Effort versus reward for pve is reduced a hell of a lot. Only to get to 2.1k would it be essentially 220 which at that point ur either a world first raider or top 100 or u strictly doing pvp. For the average player they will deem it useless

Hmm. So it's possible that the game is expecting you to complete that city tutorial, but you cannot do that, because that's only something the Exile's Reach characters can do. What happened earlier: you creating that level 14 character, or reaching level 50 on another one?

I created the 14 before I hit 50, that’s how I found out about chromie time (long story short, I have a crush on this guy and he wants to level together and got sad when I didn’t have chromie time so here I am tryna fix it)
And yes I did play 34 hours to get to level 50 in 3 days

So my guess is that the game checks for Chromie Time availability when you create a new character and doesn't recheck afterwards. I only see two possible ways out of this. You either write a support ticket and maybe they will be able to do something about it (but I wouldn't hold my breath about it), or create a new character again and get back to level 10 quickly (maybe 2 to 3 hours). Normally the best way out of this would be to just level on Kul Tiras, but that's probably not what you want.

It should. The fourth option is to ignore Chromie Time and accompany that person without it. Depending on the expansion they choose, you will have to part ways for a while (because at a certain point that continent would stop scaling to your level), when you get the last few levels in Kul Tiras. At level 50 you would be able to reunite in Shadowlands.
A downside to that option is that you won't be able to queue for dungeons together. Only do outdoor questing.

There is no level requirement to enter stormwind - just finish the starting campaign they have. Also, level cap is 60, not 100 (anymore).

With Shift or Ctrl modifiers you can cover pretty much everything what you need. You don't need to hotkey every ability. In PvE it should be fine to leave long cooldowns or long buffs unbound.

mage is a caster who stays far away and casts spells,
shaman can be a healer,a caster with spells like mage or a melee-class
druid can do all 4 can even tank

@polar wasp But, if Mage can only really do damage (1 role)... And shaman can do 3 out of the 4 roles... and Druid can do all 4, does that stay proportionate? Let me explain:
For example, if ALL Mage is meant to be good for is damage, then it's gonna be WAY better at damage than Shaman or Druid, right?

thats how it worked in 2004,but not exactly how it works now
because all specs are balanced as their own thing not really connected to the class

Also I imagine being able to do everything on your own and / or fill every role as a Druid may kinda... I dunno, ruin the fun a bit? I kinda like the idea of having to work to build my 'perfect team' to go out and do stuff.

Mage seems nice because it both plays off my.. general admiration for mages? Like I said I grew up on AQW so I still see mages in an RPG sense how my childhood game painted em for me.
Shaman is okay, the idea of an elementalist seems cool but not as cool as a mage.
It seems I'm still leaning towards mage

How squishy would I be compared to Rogue?
The idea of a glass cannon isn't exactly a dealbreaker for me. Hey I mean if I'm doing a ton of damage they'll be dead before it matters, right?

about the same,just that rogue is melee and mage is ranged
rogue can heal themselves tho with the potion i think
and has things like vanish to run away

Hmm I could never get stealth to work if I were in combat.
Maybe that's like a different thing or something
but yeah there's a potion heal ability which heals you for like 20%
