but at ilvl 194, don't worry about spending valor at all

generally it's recommended you farm high keys for the item you need to help reduce the cost as the weekly cap is rather low and unforgiving

it's got plenty of activity and plenty of people doing all sorts of stuff

economy is nice, with the auction house not having severely inflated prices due to the sheer amount of people that can farm/make the items

you can try your hand at new player and low pop realms but usually you'll end up realm transferring to a bigger realm if you happen to progress rather quickly and are stuck looking for good guilds/players

you can solo old content on your own it wont scale. many people farm old raids solo for mounts, transmog etc. you cant queue them tho you have to go to their entrance and enter

there are some exceptions tho like the recently added NPC that lets you raid BFA raids solo on raid finder difficulty

That one is tricky. If you have access to Chromie Time, talk to her and she will give you a breadcrumb quest. If not, I think the best option might be to just take the portal to Shattrath and then fly to The Dark Portal. But try to find a Thrallmar Mage (Horde) or Honor Hold Mage (Alliance) in the portal room/tower that might give teleport you directly to the Dark Portal on the Outland side.

Just have a search through curse and see which ones you think you would like to use. @pallid fulcrum Sounds like some kind of phasing issue. Maybe you have a questline nearby that you dropped without completing it to the end. You could try dropping all quests that you don't intend to do immediately and see if it fixes the issue. If not and you have no idea what might be causing it, you can try contacting Blizzard to help you identify it.

We had a couple of people get stuck because of AAP. As an experienced player, we could tell you how to get unstuck, but you would end up skipping part of the tutorial. For new players, the best recommendation after they fall into the AAP trap is to make them create a new character and start over.
