The toggle only affects the upper limit of scaling. Put another way, if you don't enable the scaling at Chromie, all zones scale to your character within the range presented on the map of its continent. If the scaling is enabled, all those upper ends of the scale are increased to level 50, but the lower end is unaffected. For example, if the zone is level 15-40, it will scale between 15-40 when Chromie Time is disabled, and 15-50 when it's enabled.

@patent valley You don't need to go to any particular point in the city. Walk around for a bit and after a while an NPC will spawn next to you following you. It has to work, because there is no way to continue with obtaining the artifact otherwise. I'm assuming you don't have any artifact weapon (for a different spec) at all and this is your first one.

@gloomy pebble What do you mean? The toggle exist to still allow you to outlevel stuff if you want to solo everything easily. You just need to do less to reach max level. You can still do as much of it as you like.

The appearances are not under the artifact tab, but instead under the weapon type those artifacts are, ie 1hand, 2hand, etc.

Also, you can't transmog appearances you do not have. You also must have at least one time used the thing in your order hall to change your artifact to that appearance

Kinda late here but mythic dungeons have an infinitely scaling mode called mythic plus. At 2,4,7,and 10 there are additional modifiers to the dungeon. In addition, every + means in general the enemies hit slightly harder and have more health

Hello friends, I recently started playing wow again after a 3 year break. I am all caught up in shadowlands so i went to do some of the campaign in BFA. I am at least friendly with the 3 main groups of alliance people there and have established 3 footholds on to Zandalar. Also have united Kul Tiras (not that I know if thats relevant)

I am not getting any dailies(after the first tutorial world quest there) or further war campaigns in the BFA regions.

I am trying to complete Loremaster and have one quest left for Grizzly Hills, however, it suggests 5 players and there is no-one at all around to help, a guildie came to try and help, but as I was doing TW levelling, he was zoned out, so we synced and killed the mob I was struggling with, however, it did not count due to him not being eligible for the quest....any suggestions? Guildmate agrees, no way can it be solo'd at my level ><

Yeah, there is just no-one else around in the zone, I have asked in general and searched the area for other players to kidnap to come help! Its fine, will just go back when I am higher level to complete it, just a pain when its right in front of me!

If I delete a character, the name stays linked to my account for some period of time, correct? So if I were to delete a placeholder whose name I'm just sitting on, someone couldn't make a new character with the same name?

The most recent GM response I got to my ticket is that the error I'm having might be due to having 49 characters currently on my account, and the GM's suggestion was to delete one or more that I'm not using and then try undeleting the character I want to restore. About the only things I can delete are placeholders, but I want to remake them and keep the names after I've restored my deleted character.

hi friends, have blizzard fixed the issue with soul ash when doing levels together rather than individually? there was an issue where it wasn't dropping the correct soul ash, and as far as i know it hadnt been fixed as of last week

you collect gear. its automatically logged into your appearance tab in your collections.
You can only collect transmog of the appropriate type the character you are playing should wear (I.E. rogues can only collect leather transmog, paladins can only collect plate, priests cloth, etc)
To collect the appearance the item must be soulbound (I.E. if it says "Binds on Equip" it must be equipped to learn the transmog, "Binds on Pickup" items will be collected when you loot it)

Yeah, usually the guide will tell you what's best for a raid v mythic etc.
Sometimes it changes depending on what pve.
Otherwise, go with what feels best if two or three are all considered good.

AnimatedPup - I have 4 friends who started with Shadowlands, 3 of whom are still playing actively

I think it's a really good expansion to start playing in because there's no complicated systems as of yet (by the end of each expansion there's usually a lot of complicated catch up mechanics and questlines get murky/out of order)

that renown step isn't completed for you yet (if that's a screenshot of your renown, and not from the video)

which means that Sika isn't a companion you can unlock yet, until you reach renown level 14... which is the next one

Hey so I've got a trial account and am gonna buy the game next month when I get $$. However as of now, I am looking for things to do in the game I was just playing through the Legion campaign and others but ended up wanting to do something like farming/resource gathering/gold farming. so for a level 20, who is bored of campaign quests. what kinda farms could I do that leads to cool stuff? Personally I'd love to get cool mounts. I also currently have 20 levels banked so when I get the game I will be level 40 instantly lol.

Or should I just wait till I get the game?

I got the game about a 3 weeks a go so I'm not and expert but I do know that if u pay the monthlly subscription u can level up to 50 then u would have to buy shadowlands u would be ablel to level to 60

quests in your quest log with a yellow name are optimized for your level, but you do know most of the content now scales with you, right?
old world scales from 10-30 in pre-cata zones, 30-35 for cata zones, 10-30 for tbc/wotlk zones, 10-35 for mop, 10-40 for wod zones, 10-45 for legion and 10-50 for bfa zones
you can also use chromie time to scale any expansion from 10-50

I would disagree with that a bit. It lets F2P players see older content too after they checked out their first BFA zone. The main reasons why a new player would get confused is if they blindly follow the AAP addon. Maybe forcing new players to do the quests up to the opening the portals without allowing them to skip by leaving the city would be helpful.

one time i had a murloc asking for help because they somehow ended in legion dalaran at lvl 9 and the portal is for lvl 10 only

The Chromie unlock can work a little wonky. Like I have many sub level 10 characters and I can use Chromie on all of them except for one character. No idea why. I've heard players who logged in shortly after the prepatch dropped just got it unlocked without having any level 50 character. Because this thing is difficult to test, the best thing we can say is to pretend it is working as designed.

nah, whenever i can i give the instructions on how to use chromie time, most of the new players can do that just fine, i hate tiragarde sound with a burning hatred and the level lock you can experience after finishing that zone is horrible and new players have no indication of side quests on the map or that they can only go to drusvar at lvl 25, the breadcrumb just vanish and the map is empty
