@hardy sierra yes, WoW does not utilise your computer to its full extent, because of its old engine. most you can do is inc the resolution scale to make it use more gpu or use reshade.... although, thats quite redundant.

But if you are new, you should have picked a different class first (not Death Knight or Demon Hunter) and level in Zandalar.

There is no standard edition anymore. You can download WoW for free and play up to lvl 20 without a sub. Past that, you need a Sub/Game Time to continue playing on that character past lvl 20. You can play up to lvl 50 on any character with just the Sub. You do not HAVE to buy Shadowlands to play WoW, you only need Shadowlands to lvl past 50.

Hi there, i'm brand new to this game. I decided to pick it up after a while of doubting, i've been doing the 1-20 leveling for a bit now deciding if i want to commit to this game, i'm confused to what to do after that though. I keep hearing, just do dungeons or quest. But my confusion lays with what to quest, do i just go around and pick up random quests and that will carry me through out the game? @granite robin Item level before max level is almost redundant outside of qualifying for dungeons. Focus on which ever item is higher for your primary stat(s). At 60 then item level becomes your focus point.

@cedar nest Protection you probably wont die and can pull large groups of mobs. Retribution if done correctly will burst mobs down quickly within the duration of shield of vengeance. Lots of burst, can be a bit more squishy. I prefer ret - but its preference. Lots of sustain and slow killing, or lots of burst, and need to watch your health.

well the first thing is it won't work for you. #2 is you'll be skipping things you should be reading, #3 it interferes with the experince - you'll just be dragged along to do the things the addon can't do
