Yes. You can still unlock the allied races. To play wow, all you need is a Sub/Game time. Shadowlands is simply the new expansion. All previous expansions are baked into the subscription at no extra cost

@bleak flicker Draenor is only good for leveling if you have Chromie Time, which requires you to already have leveled a character to level 50 before. Otherwise, 10-50 is best spend leveling in the BfA zones of Kul Tiras for the Alliance or Zandalar for the Horde

@mystic mortar If anything, you'll even be able to do the old content faster and easier on your main if you wish, since you'll be way overpowered and will just sail through the content. People might say stuff like "blah blah blah wasted experience, no rewards, blah" but you can still make a small bit of gold, sell the outdated gear you get or unlock new armor appearances, mounts, achievements, storylines, etc

Are there certain classes that are generally easier to play than others? (especially for beginners). I mean, me personally I like big characters, and I like tanky characters. So, Tauren Paladin right? But, I heard that being a tank is WoW is very hard as you're generally expected to know the game through-and-through, i.e. if you're in a dungeon and your party is lost, everyone generally looks to the tank to lead them out.

@granite robin essentially, the best advice for using a boost is to never use it on a character you've never leveled from scratch and learned how to play. Character boosts are best used on new alts, such as a cross-faction character of a class you've already leveled before
And all classes and specs are viable, even if they're not optimal. A good offmeta player will almost always be better than a bad meta player, as well

i would advise not installing any addons(or mods) until you're max level,because they could make you even more confused
getting a guild is relatively easy,there is a lot of noobfriendly casual guilds around!

Icy veins is a great starting resource for class information. HOWEVER, a lot of that is mostly irrelevant while leveling. Sometimes a single ability may be the core of how a spec works, and for better or worse, may not be available until say, level 40 or something.
What do you mean by micro keys? Like hot key setups?

Wowhead guides are okay. Some of the info I've found...contradictory sometimes? Granted that may have been because I was looking up SL info during the prepatch that I distinctly remember some weirdness

which makes sense for the most part and gives you a evolving rotation based on it

Huh, interesting. I always just pick leveling takents as 'what makes me move faster overall?' but then again, I'm stacked with heirlooms and enchants, and the 9 yards so probably different than base leveling

Hi, in the last few days while watching Limit try Denathrius i noticed in Maximum's Stream that in his UI he has the chat bubbles while in raid disabled, which shows the message only without background, i like it and tried to make it the same with elvui and it works in open world but when i am in dung/raid the background comes back, any solution?
