@spark adder Ideally all classes are playable, and some do better in certain scenarios but all are viable and playable at end game. Find what you like, and get to the grind. Learn the in's and outs, get hip to the terminology and just take it at your own pace. There's a lot to do, and a lot to see lol.

The level squish during the pre-patch for Shadowlands, made max level 60. DK's no longer start at 55 they start at 10 I believe.

So thus given the chromie timewalking BFA is the standard leveling content without timewalking. You could quest grind Kul tiran content while leveling, if that is your question.

@sterile vigil Chat window? ElvUI has a custom chat window, but thats an entire UI re-haul. There's things like Prat or WIM. Although I believe those function for direct messages more than the context of the entire chat box.

So I skipped the first week of thorghast (couldn't get to 60 in time for the first week reset) and I can't seem to be able to get a the rescue jaina quest from Bolvar. I had my weekly quest to get 10 souls from torghast and that was it.

Can't find the right info on wowhead about the quest chain and the prerequisites, is this related to me skipping first week? I would assume there would be some catch-up mechanic for that

That wasn't the best advice, but it works when you are inside a particular dungeon. Each boss would have an icon on the map that would open its entry in the journal.

Whether or not you randomly queue for a dungeon or join a premade group, you can do content with people from other servers even if you can't trade items or join guilds

Can be a firewall with software based IDS on your system. I had the same issue and needed to switch the software to "gamer mode" or basically disabling this IDS feature.

the tuturial option in the settings refers to a different kind - i think you'd need an addon to hide those

The ones with the runes themselves are easy. The skulls change either 1, 2, 3, or 4 runes. The trick is that the same runes AREN'T changed as you decrease the number of changes. So basically...
Figure out which skull changes which number of runes.
Start with 4, and change runes until the chain behind that skull is unlocked.
Then go to 3, and change runes on that skull until the chain is unlocked. The skulls rune you started with will never change at this point.
Then go to 2, change runes on that one until the 3rd chain is removed.
Then change the last skull until chest opens

@dark acorn I'm not sure? I'm pretty sure it's kinda dynamic based on the current week? I haven't seen any articles about how it specifically works, but your renown might be tied to doing the covenant quests (which may or may not block you before 11). I'm not sure it's well documented yet.

Because I think they show that way only because you had picked up all 4 at the same time. When I did ToF not too long ago, I got renown every other (for 2) and was at max renown the same week doing my covenant stuff.

@dark acorn Dunno, I'm pretty sure I finished with 3 a week ago. So you finishing with 4 this week sounds totally reasonable? Again, I had a bunch of renown rewards tied to the covenant story quests that weren't otherwise there on my main when I was current.

Yeah, the mage I'm working on leveling is fire too. Arcane is fun as well, but fire is what I prefer for sure. Yeah, you could try finding a group to help balance things out. If anyone tanks I think it would be a lot easier as a group. Mobs have tons of health but they don't do particularly huge amounts of damage ever? At least not to classes that are meant to take it

i tried lfg but the group i found abandoned almost at the end of the run and they spammed the resses and suddenly u burned 40 mins for nothing so i was kinda upset

@dreamy cipher Remember that you are not limited to warglaives only. Axes or swords should also work.

If it has agility, it should be good for you. Warglaives are guaranteed to fit your class (because no other class can use it), but they can be scarce.

Before reaching max level, most of your efforts should be focused on getting to max level. It generally makes every other thing easier.

you can look at trasmogs whenever you want through the appearance tab

you get transmogs by just completing questlines

any quest that gives gear unlocks every appearance from that quest

can i only talk in certain channels till im higher lvl ? rn i can only use new commer channel
