@stiff latch I believe you need to unlock world quests first, and for that you need to become friendly with each of the five main factions of the isles. Which basically means you need to at least start the first few quests in each zone, but don't need to finish any zone storyline.

Uldum is the southernmost zone of Kalimdor.

Ive recently downloaded the addon rarity and im trying to farm the dune scavenger but the counter only updates if i kill a specific enemy and im pretty sure you can farm anything longs if its in vol'dun?

New player trying out the game. I died in the first dungeon, Darkmaul Citadel and accidently exited it after resurrecting. Now I can't continue. I tried abandoning the quest several times and logging out and restarting the game but nothing helps. Any ideas?
It says a player has left your group and asks me if I want to find another player, pressing yes does nothing, pressing hide leads me back to finding a group which again, does nothing.

i dont really have an answer for you,it could either be they're classic fanboys and dont like retail,
or think that retail is complicated and "clicking frostbolt for 8minutes" is great engaging gameplay
wow classic is the recreation of how the game was like in 2004
so it will take multiple weeks if not months to level to max level
and there is 0 quality of life,and the gameplay is slower,and also rotations are dull for most classes
while retail wow is the current 2020 iteration of the game,with all the good and the bad

It's usually easier to just make a new character if you don't have the time commitment, though. Most unlocks are account-wide, so it's not like losing the character loses the mounts you've gotten, or toys, or unlocked appearances an w/e

@fading horizon learn how/why you died, then try to not do that again in the future
Also strongly recommend researching a dungeon and learning its mechanics. The adventure guide in-game is very useful at giving a basic idea of what bosses in a dungeon/raid do what

Usually if a tank calls someone names and then "disconnects" it's because he's trying to leave while circumventing the punishment for quitting
It's a time lock that prevents you from queuing for more dungeons

Just don't worry about it. Go do some questing while you wait for the penalty to leave. Leveling is much faster questing anyway, plus most worthwhile content is locked behind campaign storylines and achievements

The thing about post-squish patches is that things are scaled oddly, so some people don't act with caution accordingly and think they can pull more than they actually should
