Hello all! I'm returning to WoW, made a free character and hit the level cap of 20 after an amazing time in BfA. If I add game time to it, will I be able to progress normally and explore other expansions before Shadowlands? Also, I have an inactive sub account. Is there a way to delete it so I only have one main account?

with game time you will be able to proceed further in the story - once you reached level 50 the game will give you the option to level in older content on new characters
I dont think an account deletion is an official procedure but you can open a ticket and ask

when i started it did this exact thing... among other stupid shit. i grinded some specific dungeons to get 2 Daggers i really wanted because i thought i needed them. id did them so often that outleveld the dungeon that way ^^ that was stupid because after i got them i leveled through other dungeons (that were actually for my level) and instantly replaced the old ones i grinded for.

Other stupid shit i did: I wanted a full set so badly that i grinded leatherworking and skinning for a whole month at ~lv. 70 (i think 85 or 90 was max then) to craft a stupid recolor of the T1 Rogue set... i mean im kinda happy that i did that because i learned some stuff but damn that was a HUGE waste of time

A lot of WoW is like that, unfortunately - it just isn't clear to most newer players. On the other hand if you want to do something or want a specific item, go for it. If you make a mistake, that's fine - now you know better for next time

thats actually the best spec for single target expecially for new players. but keep in mind its single target. to get the most out of it you have to get your dots onto all the targets. the assassination rogue doesnt hit hard and fast for the most time. you have your burst damage and then the slow and steady damage from your poisons and blood dots

i think instead of dots you mean combo points. a dot is a DamageOverTime that means rupture and garrote + your poisons which you can get onto your enemies quickly with fan of knives (i hope you reapply your poisons every hour)

I know I've mentioned this before, but my character still seems unable to progress towards unlocking Kul Tirans (The Tides of Vengeance achievement, obviously Alliance side).
There's no quests at any of the war-related quest hubs, and I can't find Jaina anywhere at all. I've previously completed Jaina's personal quest (saving her from the shadow place).

Tides of Vengeance is part of the war campaign right? Need that achievement for an allied race, but I'm at 9/27 for the horde war campaign because I took a break.

Should show you which chapter you're on in the quest log. Mine says 10/27 now, so I assume it came when the campaign was continued during one of the patches.

If you mean the four specific lines for the achievement, then no, I don't think that's shown anywhere until you manage to do one and you get the progress notification.

It doesn't. I only have one quest, currently, for battle pets (that cannot be removed). Other than that, the quest log is empty.

It shows 7/7 on chapters in Tiragarde, for example, but nothing more than that

Yesterday I noticed the War Campaign progression doesn't show when you don't have an active quest from the war campaign. So you're probably able to pick one up somewhere to continue

There's also apparently a phasing issue, if you have "meet the crew" or something allowing to set sail as a quest, where it supposedly doesn't show the next step until you sail to Nazjatar and back? I vaguely remember that on the alliance side.

This lists the Ready for War achievement as incomplete, which is required to begin with de tides of vengeance part I think. According to this page you're at the "Chasing Darkness" part of Ready for War.

That part of the war campaign takes place in Nazmir

Okay I have some weird things I'd like to have clearified. First of I made an Ally mage, went to stormwind and accepted the Lights, Camera, Action quest. I log in to my horde warrior and there the quest is aswel sending me to SW with my Orc...

Then secondly I'm tottaly lost on the Nightborne unlocking. On WoWhead it says you need to do the Insurrection Achievement. I look for a quest but it doesnt show up. I get told to get to 20000/210000 rep with Nightfallen eventhough on wowhead it says rep requirements for the achievement had been removed in 7.3. Anyway i start grinding it and need that Ancient Mana, my friend is able to pick up a Mana stone from one of the quest givers to show Mana nodes on the map. I can click the line to get the stone but nothing happens. No stone no conversation nothing. Sending in a ticket just gets the response that they are to busy to actually respond. Anyway my friend gets to Exalted and still no quest related to the Insurrection Achievement. So yea we're lost in this.

Hello, I'm new to WoW and I had a couple of questions I wanted to ask? (Retail)

1. What is generally a good suggestion of a realm to join when I first start playing? There's like a lot... and I know there's the "New Players" option, but is it better to join a High population server?

2. I wanted to join the Alliance, but I've heard that Alliance players are bad at PvP or something from a friend? Probably bias, but I do want to join Alliance just because I like their races a lot more. Are there any good PvX Alliance guilds that I could possibly look into? I'm from North America, and basically brand new to WoW.

3. I'm kind of indifferent when it comes to classes, so what's the general approach to a game like this? I came from FFXIV/PSO2 where I'm used to a 1 character/multiple class option, so any insight would be appreciated. Also, I also wanted to know if multiple characters is recommended.

4. I heard leveling is a bit easier now since levels were condensed? I was kind of scared jumping into WoW sooner because of the 100+ levels, but now I heard they're back to 50 levels? Best way to reach 50 asap?

5. Last one, sorry for writing a wall, I'd like to know what I should do when I get to endgame, I never really reached raiding tier on FFXIV (PSO2's raiding is vastly different), but I wanted to try to do something like that here. Any insight would help.

Alliance has a smaller raiding community and most top pvp teams do come from Horde however, there are plenty of decent realms for Alliance that offer Raiding - Stormrage or PVP - Sargeras (for example) 3. For a new player I would suggest a class that offers many types of game play, to help determine if you want to heal, tank, or dps. So Monk, Paladin, and Druid offer this. Multiple characters gives you more bank space and access to professions. 4. Best way will be to knock out exiles reach then hit Warlords of Draenor I recommend you look at Bellular Gaming for a recent video on how to maximize your leveling. 5. End game comprises of many different things. You can do Mythic +, Raid, or Competitive pvp. I would test out each style and see if you like any more than the rest or if you like them all. You can easily do all.
