The thing with WoW generally, is it drops its old content when it's old

the game as it is updated does not touch 'old' content unless it's actually progression-broken in some way

so really when you're max level, you're playing BfA

As it is today, when you hit 60 you have a choice to go to Outland (Burning Crusade) or Northrend (Wrath)

They're the same re: leveling now, it's just whichever you prefer

you can find Hero's Call/Warchief's Call boards in cities/some significant settlements which offer advisory zones

and a breadcrumb quest to go there

if you end up lost

however iirc for Warlords of Draenor and onwards, you get an auto-given breadcrumb quest when you hit a relevant level to go into the next expansion, to start its content

#

generally the leveling experience is quite scuffed and nobody will disagree, which is why they're giving it a rethink in Shadowlands

#

it'll still be a bit scuffed, as is the nature of WoW's game design re: old leveling, and it'll still be focused on getting you to the endgame reasonably, but it'll flow a bit better

#

and ironically it'll probably land about 2 months after YoshiP removes the post-ARR gauntlet of doom

in my humble opinion... I think they need to make one final addon, wrap things up and do wow 2, make it much more modern and to offer both casual and hardcore experience, fix all of these various issues which they are stuck with because the game is old. I imagine it's just difficult for them to improve customization, crafting and all of these things and they spend more time figuring out how to do those small, tiny changes

It takes some dedicated grinding to get enough gold for it, usually at minimum 2 max level characters; if you play for a full month then you could get enough gold for it after reading some guides

#

Its not an “easy” thing to do for most new players and requires a bit of setup

But eventually you could just buy your sub with in-game gold

Having 2+ characters isnt a guaranteed way of doing it, its just that you can grind lockouts on the same old raids on multiple characters and essentially double / triple your earnings

#

So if you make 1k gold on 1 char for 1 run, you run it on your 2nd, 3rd etc

AFAIK, every ship and zeppelin that stops at Teldrassil or Undercity is now a portal. Other ships and zeppelins operate normally. The ship between Theramore and Menethil Harbor operate normally, at least for low level characters.

@cobalt flint the exp will be replaced with something else that has not yet been declared. They won't be useless and still aren't, regardless. Looms are incredibly useful outside of leveling faster. They scale with you and don't need replaced until capped, only need enchanted once and have low transmogrification costs.

That's all true. In addition, having enough of them unlocks the chauffeur mount that is useful up to level 40 (and still has its uses after that if you need to ride through some mobs without the risk of dismounting). But the XP bonus was definitely the main motivator, and until we know more about the potential replacement bonus, you might want to postpone the purchase. Currently, heirlooms have slightly worse stats than blues, though, so sometimes you have to wear a slightly worse item for a while if you want all the other benefits.

@bitter apex Once you have at least one mount capable of flying (and usually one land one, if you can't get one before level 20), there are very few other mounts that give you any practical advantage beyond just looking cooler. It's easiest to hunt for additional mounts once you are at max level.

You need to install the bnet client and have that install WoW. Any other source is not valid.

if you dont have base edition of game which is up to lvl 110 then you need to buy bfa to lvl beyond 110 or beyond 20 if yo dont have game time yet

#

be aware only preordering of shadowlands grants 30 days of game time if you get epic edition, otherwise bfa will be seperate from 30-60-90 day game block credits

haha if yo go to a mailbox and it has red text at the top that says something of you cant open at this time it means youre on trial status/starter limitations

it used to be they limited a server to 10 toons then 12 then 16 an now i think the server limit is gone so you can have at max 50 toons on your wow license aka account

and each battlenet account can have 8 wow licenses on it
