It usually does...what are the items? I always go with higher ilevel even if the stats aren't exactly what is ideal for me. In very few cases would I use something that's lower ilevel...I always have that trinket from mechagon on because of the haste and chance to find more spare parts, but I don't really have anything much better so I stick with that.

First you need to be level 20 or higher.
Then you got to your racial riding trainer.
Or any riding trainer really, but you're more likely to get a better discount from the one that suits your race.
Anyway, once you get to that trainer, you just click on them, and buy the riding training.
Then there should be a mount vendor next to them, that you can buy your very first mount from.

retail is good, it's faster and more streamlined. It has the most content between the two. You can just play whichever you feel more comfortable in. Retail will also have the most players and more consistent gameplay.

well i only have classic right now and ive only first started wow a few weeks ago so id have to buy bfa and also if i do get bfa and start on a character does that character transfer over to shadowlands or will it be like a clean slate and ill have to start a brand new character even if i dont want to

@mellow patrol Your character from BfA will transfer to Shadowlands and any future expansions after that (at least that has been the case for the last 13 years). Your classic character is completely separate from that and we don't know at this time whether you will be able to transfer it to Burning Crusade should Blizzard decide to open classic servers for old expansions as well.
