I guess. I mean you just run past all the bosses and kill some trash. I think it's the only BfA mount dropping dungeon where bosses can be skipped.
I don't know how other "mount runs" work (at King's Rest or Underrot), but I think people just rush to the last boss and expect you to be good enough to make this run smooth and quick.

Heya I stopped playing around the last legion raid. I think I cleared ToS heroic but I may be misremembering. I have a few lvl 110s. I'm contemplating coming back for shadowlands but I don't know the smartest way to do it - what do people suggest?

It kinda depends.
Right now, the things you can get is the backpack, the Curve and the Title for 5 masks. Also, the Vision , toys , mounts etc. It kinda is up to you if you are up for raiding and or doing mythics, just keep in mind that after summer all that hard work goes right to first vendor in Shadowlands.
So, if i ask you, what do you like doing in WoW besides raid and mythics?

If you care about Tmogs then hey go for the [Black Dragonscale Backpack] and then go for Curbe and Mad World , but other then that only thing can think of is tmog grind.
As for lvl grinding ... if you got full heirlooms you only need to do 1. And i mean 1 zone to get to lvl 110-120.

Right, its like this then.
You level to 120. First thing is get the necklace its lvl 1. Then you do the essence quest. BOOm lvl 50 neck. Then you do the cape quests and you get rank 1.
Then after that its just getting gear from Assaults and WQ. Then you just grind mythic +0 +2 until you reach 440 and there ya go, can raid.
Then after that is just keep grinding gear in mythics and raids to do mask 5 at like ilvl 460 and rank 15 cloak with full talent tree. Id say that takes about a month or less depending on how much time you spend on the game per day.

Bind on Equip means that you can trade or sell the item on the AH until you equip it, which then makes it Soulbound and only able to be sold/disenchanted

I'm going to create a Human Paladin after all (Not quite original but I just can't shake off the feeling that it something that really fits me, not sure if it'll be my main). Theres no icon. You just gain by playing together

If you wanna make sure, right click Chat Tab General, select Settings, Other, then Tick on Experience. It should , if im not mistaken, say refer exp or something similar.

Let me tell you, i stopped in mist (lvl 87) just after cata, and now i comeback, level 10 level everyday, skip zones because i overlevel the zones and the game tells me to go somewhere else, so i dont know shit about the story or what is where. Maybe its difficult to see as someone who plays a lot, my friend is telling me the same thing as you as its "obvious" but its super frustrating for me right now

If you felt like playing with chance, you can go timewalking with the spec you have the artifact for and set your loot spec to what you want to try out (right click your character portrait to set/change that) and then see if a weapon will drop for you in those

If you’re getting good gear and you can’t pick it up or find a vendor, look at the price of it. If it is 1-10 Copper you may as well destroy it.

If it is gear that is worse then your current gear and you can’t pick up better gear and can’t find a vendor just destroy that too. It will barely make any difference in the long run.

There's a lot of different "systems" to understand. When you level up now, a lot of systems are outdated once you level past that expansion.

For example, when hitting 98-100 or so, you get class hall area and artifact weapons. That weapon and the systems in class hall are completely irrelevant for BFA (lateast expansion) once you're lvl 111. Only time they're relevant is if you wanna complete achievements or collect stuff later on.

Everything you learn about your class is valid from 1-120 - but once you are at 110, only then are you introduced to the current expansion's systems, and more at 120.

Same counts for major patches. The areas introduced in Patch 8.2 (Nazjatar & Mechagon) aren't where you'll spend most of your time at lvl 120, but they offer a significant benefit for class essences (powers in your Azerite Neck).

Focus on learning your role, specc and combat mechanics (like how interrupts, CC, aggro works compared to Elder Scrolls) while leveling. Many classes have resource building and resource spending abilities. Like rogues spend Energy on weaker attacks to build up Combat Points (up to 5) for stronger attacks. Many other classes and speccs are like that. Only healers and 1-2 other speccs have to care for mana management as a combat resource. Dungeons are sweet exp but often at a high tempo, so just say you're new to wow and people will mostly be understanding!

Now is a perfect time to start! With your ES background you'll be up to speed way before Shadowlands is released.

Do some normal or heroic dungeons to start.

They drop 400-415 gear which is a big upgrade from the levelling gear.

Once you have enough gear from that, go to Mythic+ and Assaults and move on from there.

Also try to get your Legendary Cloak and Heart Of Azeroth levelled up too, they are vital.

Hey all. I'm a new WoW player, and currently questing in Grom'gol camp as a horde. I'm a level 75 Blood DK and there's two alliance players here that are constantly killing me over and over while trying to quest. The Warrior (i think fury) is level 54, and his buddy is a Ranger that's level 53. I Know I'm a tank spec so I don't do a whole lot of damage but I seem to take a ridiculous amount from both of them. Am I missing something here? I out level both of them by over 21 levels each... I thought there was supposed to be a pretty nice level advantage or something. Anyone care to explain? (yes i know it was 2v1 but still)

I’m kinda new to the game as well (been playing for 3 months now) but i think that could be because of gear difference as well. Maybe they grinded gear much better gear and you are hanging around with quest gear only? Also there’s a feature to disable PvP if you want to, idk if u already know that

Levelling doesn't give you that many extra stats over them until you get to the highest levels, due to how many times stats have been "squished" (Brought closer together so numbers at max don't get out of hand)

They still have a hit chance penalty on you when you're that many levels ahead, but that might not save you from two people working together.
If you're running around in Level 60 Quest gear on a Level 75 character, you're barely going to be stronger than a level 60 character anyway. They likely have heirlooms, which is gear that scales to their level to always be almost the strongest gear at that level.

I don't see much PvP even when levelling in War Mode but I assume they attack you due to you being Level 75 in a level 60 zone, assuming you're trying to gank lowbies or something similar.

And on the note of "Level 60 Quest Gear on a Level 75 Character", Grom'gol Base Camp is in Stranglethorn Vale.
The XP, mobs and gear of that zone only scale up to Level 60 and you're meant to leave it around Level 63 as the absolute latest.

Every time you get a piece of gear, the game rolls a dice for you

Maybe that piece of gear has a socket
Maybe it has a tertiary stat
Maybe it's corrupted

If it's corrupted, more dice are rolled to see which corruption you get and at which strength

The stronger the corruption effect, the more "corruption" stat it has
The more corruption you have, the more your own gear tries to kill you, basically.

So every time you kill a boss, you have to win 5-6 Dice Rolls to get the piece of gear that you actually want/is optimal.

Quest gear has a chance to randomly upgrade in Item Levels, too

PvP gear is awarded randomly, instead of being bought through a vendor, and can proc corruptions/sockets/tertiary stats the same way.

Oh, and in some cases, good corruptions can be 30-40% of people's DPS, so they really matter.

And making Mythic+ and PvP Chests (That's a whole other can of worms) more likely to give you what you want

The unarmoured ones have several methods, depending on the colour you want
The Armoured ones are only from PvP, from what I know.

The White/Green one is from the Dreamreaver Reputation in Val'sharah (Legion Content)
Once you hit exalted, you keep grinding rep until you get a "Dreamweaver Cache" from them
That has a chance to contain the unicorn.
If it doesn't, you just grind some more until it does.
It can take a while, so don't get disheartened, it'll be there eventually.

The Black/purple one I think was from a secret easter-egg-hunt kinda thing, I believe.
There'll be a guide for it online. It's called the "Lucid Nightmare"

All three of them are easy, they just take some dedication.
The Lucid Nightmare is probably the hardest.

If you want one you want to make sure you know when you can have
I'd go for the Prestigious Bronze Courser. It's a Black, Armoured unicorn.
It just requires you to do any kind of PvP until you reach Honor level 15.

Losing gives less honor, but it still gives it.

Only Conquest Points are locked behind winning, and they don't affect your honor level ^^

I'd suggest going for Random Battlegrounds to farm honor

Maybe Epic Battlegrounds if you find that kinda carnage fun (I'm pretty sure they give more Honor, but I can't confirm as I stay squarely away from them.)

Yes, but Skirmishes are the worst source of Honor currently available.

They give barely anything on a win and even less on a loss.

They're both pretty good against casters, especially healers.
It of course depends on what kind of PvP you want to be doing, but if you're talking about Battlegrounds
The Assassination Rogue is still great at disabling a single target through its great CC while killing that target, or a different one with great single-target burst.

The Unholy DK has a whole lot more AoE Damage at its disposal and can really get some great self-healing going, so it's more suited for being in the middle of a teamfight. It also has access to Auras that debuff the enemy team, so that fits nicely.
Oh, and Necrotic Strike. Necrotic Strike exists and is pretty good in arenas.

I'd just go for what you like the playstyle of more, I've found their kits naturally draws you towards their preferred environment.

And if you want to play one of the other specs on those two classes, I can't really tell you. I rarely face them.

Right, @carmine mountain If you're Group Syncing, your gear still scales up to your current level if he's level 50, so that's fine
I just assumed you were solo questing.
Heirloom gear is primarily to speed up levelling for players that have already reached Max on a different character.
Basic Heirlooms only scale up to level 60 and cost about 500 Gold, so they're likely too expensive and already too low for you
Upgrading them takes increasingly higher amounts of Gold for Level 90, 100, 110 and 120.

I don't suggest getting Heirlooms on your first playthrough, it's not worth the investment.

Additionally, since you're party syncing, you're scaled down to Level 60
Meaning that it was actually a fair fight, and not you outlevelling them by 12/13 levels.

Blood DK isn't very strong in general PvP combat, so they just likely outmatched you, by the sounds of it.

Ah well that makes sense. Thanks for clearing that up. If I wanted to invest in any heirlooms how would I go about doing so? I haven't used my gold for quite literally anything yet. maybe a few snacks early on but that was it. Also, I chose blood DK to group all the enemies up for my shaman bud to do some aoe damage and we've been leveling really smoothly with the combo. But I did dabble in unholy DK for 10 or so levels and it was fun. Is frost DK worth running?

I think you should stick to blood if you're enjoying it and it's working for you, I just underlined that it isn't the strongest in a 1v1 PvP confrontation. (or 2v2, for that matter.) It's still really good for group PvE content, as you've discovered for yourself.

The best way to earn gold is to just quest up as normal, really.
By the time you reach max, you should have enough to buy several heirlooms for your next character, if that's what you want to do.
Getting them now is a bit tougher.
You could try your luck with professions and the auction house, but that'd take way more time than you'd gain by having the heirlooms in the first place.

We've ran a few dungeons but I'm approaching level 80 as we speak and he's around 55 (I'm going to let him catch up to around level 70-75) that way we can tackle similar leveled stuff. Btw he was my level at one point but really wanted to make a shaman and I didn't create a new character with him so that's why the gap exists

@carmine mountain I've played the game for more than a decade and do my best to stay up to date, but the knowledge just comes naturally once you've played for a little bit.

The fastest way to level is always questing, but Dungeons are a good way to break up the pace of said questing, should it get boring.
It also gives you some decent gear that's better than questing gear, though that gear doesn't scale well with Party sync, so it'd primarily be for your shaman buddy until you're in the same level bracket.

So queue for a dungeon or two if you get bored, but otherwise just quest away.

We talked about that actually. Pretty incredible it's been around that long and still is so popular. We still can't wrap our heads around that fact that people HAVE played for 15 years and still find a reason to log on daily. That notion inspires us to want to play even more actually. I don't generally enjoy "time-sink" games if I don't feel there is any longevity to the game itself. Most looter games I've played in the past felt like a waste of time when the game eventually goes cold... but WoW feels different! My buddy and I came to the same conclusion. Also, we had no idea the community would be so friendly and helpful. In fact, we figured we'd be gate-kept and harassed for being noobs constantly (we're ok with banter though).

You will meet your fair share of buttheads when you reach max level, but those are just the Vocal Minority.
Once you start counting the amount of non-assholes you encounter in comparison, the world seems a little brighter.

I'm equally dumfounded that the game keeps drawing in new players, but I'm thankful for it.
The game is not in the best state it's ever been in, currently, and I think everyone who has played for a while can agree on that
But it's still fundamentally good, and that's what keeps it popular (Especially with the promise of improvements and reversions a little further down the line 😉 )

Guys, does a healer (67 lvl hpal) have to always react to oh shit moments or its the tank who needs to prevent such situations? Like, nobody interrupted the boss' spell, all 5 players lost 50% of their health, and then boss did this attack again, I healed tank, and myself, but 2 dps died, is it my bad or tank's? Cuz I ran out of mana and basically had nothing to do

My friend told me that almost all classes suck while leveling and you just need to overcome it (get used to situations when your teammates die and so on), and its happens also because some players have heirlooms/know mechanics, and some are just idiots who dont care and wanna be carried through leveling

Many people in leveling dungeons just wanna rush through them, and DPS will pull instead of tank, or tanks will pull much more than they're capable of taking just to speed the thing up

I have some addons, like GTFO and the one which shows that boss will attack in 3/2/1 seconds (DBM?), but sometimes I just dont have fast healing spells that can heal 50+% of tank's hp
