I often do need more help in this game than others I htink

I am an ee and cpe, the word definitions are like difficult if slightly different than expected

and when a UI has a square with a glow, I generally expect some kind of activity about it

because designing UIs, generally, glows are for operators to interacti with in my work

so I was def not ready for just a random view of upcoming unlocks to be that way

Hi yall. question. sorry for long post. I read up on Blizzards addon profiler and how it can possibly cause some stuttering / higher fps. Unfortunately, blizz disabled the ability to disable this, stating that turning it on/off has no affect on performance. However, I’m reading different and that it may help. Is it safe for me to look for a way to disable this? Safe from suspensions/bans etc etc.. I def. don’t want to get in trouble and lose access to my account. With that question being asked and if it is allowed, Is there a way to disable this and test this out for myself to see if it helps?

Well I did it through cmds found through google, and it indeed shows true / false 1 / 0. and its showing me I have disabled it. I played around and noticed an fps increase anywhere from 15-30. it does actually work. Unless blizz is providing me false info, it seems to have been disabled. I have to do it everytime i log in, but worth it imo.

the profiler is supposed to stop bugs from continuing to run

it does other stuff, but if turning it off is fixing your fps, you have broken addons

Thats what blizzard says, its supposed to stop bugs from continuing AND it doesnt affect performance. So far they're wrong on the performance aspect. The addon profiler also extracts information and data sending it back and forth to blizzard. IMO they deny it having any negative affects yet I'm seeing different. I don't use many addons, and they're all up to date. Highly doubt its addons. Already disabled and played with that stuff.

Anyone having an issue with EnhanceQoL? I was fine until last night when it started giving me constant "Your Addons Are Experiencing Tons Of LUA Error" messages every time I entered combat. I went and turned on the "Show LUA Error" setting thing and it showed it as having something to do with Enhance QoL and the Blizz default damage meters. I searched in the EnhanceQoL settings for a damage meter setting and didn't find any that I could turn off. I had to disable the entire addon which sucks really bad because of how much it does.

you SHOULD get rid of your addons. not sure why you want to reinstall everything but the cause for the reason is probably a faulty addon.

Anyway here is how:

• Navigate to your WoW installation.
• Go into the _retail_ folder
• Copy your WTF and Interface (this one has your addons in it) to a safe place
• Do whatever you want to do with your installation
• Copy them back into your _retail_ folder

Yes, the crests are now only used for the track they correspond with so there’s no harm in upgrading stuff as long as you aren’t crafting something for that slot immediately.

There’s no point of holding on to veteran crests when/if you are going get champ/hero gear next week from running M+ because veteran crests only upgrade veteran gear. There’s no overlap anymore

You can also use the help feature ingame to help identify concepts, as well as all of the wonderful guides on wowhead.com aimed at teaching new players or explaining game concepts

should I be having this much trouble on assassination rogue in pve?

i have skinning and i use the lures to summon renowned beasts

and the 1v1s are so fucking hard

to the point where i can die 1v1 a lot

despite cycling like feint evasion and shroud

popping crimson vials etc

and then honestly same for when im farming random ass bears to skin for pelt

i see demonology warlocks or frost mages or hunters drive by and basically 1 shot these mobs in AoE

meanwhile im having to use like 2min cds on a ghostclaw elder

Save your boosts. You're learning all the classes from scratch. Boosts are for when you want a duplicate of a class you already know well and won't be disoriented by when you start at nearly max level

In order to make sure you hit all parts of that questline, I highly recommend the addon BtWQuests (and the Legion subaddon) which breaks down the major questlines in an expansion by zone (not every quest, just the major ones) in a flowchart that checks itself off as you complete each quest in the chart. The raids are part of the endgame storylines outside the main campaign right, so no raids needed to finish the main storyline and unlock the endgame? So when you finish the leveling campaign you get endgame storylines in which you can complete raids in quests?

Many items have a tiers (adventurer, veteran, champion, hero, myth). Each tier have 6 stage (1-6).
Max ilvl is Myth 6 (289 ilvl).
The tier of loot you have depend of the difficulty of the content.
For example, if you do m0 in season 1, you gain champion 1/6 (246 ilvl).
But If you do m+10, you gain hero 3/6 (266 ilvl).
When you do some activities (dungeon, delves, raid, ...) you can unlock a slot in the "great vault". The loot inside it is "random" and ilvl depend of the content you have done during the previous week). You can take 1 loot in this vault each week (on wednesday).
Vault give better ilvl gear than content itself.
For example, if you do 8 m+10 during the week, you will have 3 slot in vault in Myth tier (272 to 289).

Hi, until now whenever i did all the quest of a zone on my ally i also unlocked to achievement on my horde char.

Difficult choice, if you are new, every choice is good for different reason.
Monk = tank, need tank for dungeon not really in PvP (but can be really god tier if well played)
Havoc = high dps melee, high mobility
Mage = bit better dps in PvE, better blast in PvP, but you can have hard time in PvP because "no regen" and people will focus you

Heya just came back into midnight and rice and thinking of using devourer and i read its kinda pseudo ranged. A quick qn....does the combat work similarly to like bm hunter where we can use skills on the move or does it work more like the typical caster where we need to stand still to cast ?

I think a major part of my problem with long-term enjoyment of this MMO is how difficult it feels to understand rotation and skill use. I've played many other MMOs, but this is the only one that I feel like I never get right. For example, I am a Fury Warrior. I look up rotations and I don't understand any of the terminology or timing that they mention. And then I look at my hotbar and it's a hot mess full of abilities I'm not sure when to use and if they are even useful.

This is definitely killing the enjoyment for me!

Does anyone know of good guides on how to explain all of this, to someone as apparently dumb as me? I would like to learn so I can do PVP and do better in dungeons and raids, and not be a liability to my teammates.

Trying to decide on a tank. (solo player). I know guardian druids were just slapped hard - whats the next best as far as soloing content (rares, delves, etc). Played blood a bit last week and felt like I had no damage, played prot warriors and felt like I had damage but not the self heals I wanted.

Guardian druid damage was nerfed. Their tankability is still very good with self heal and damage mitigation.

Tanks aren't meant to do damage. If you want soloability, better off taking a dps like hunter or warlock that has a pet tank and still outputs damage

No, you're not automatically moved, but content will stop scaling at 70. You can still complete DF content later on, even at max level. Locking your experience to 69 will not really benefit you in the long run
