So, I wanted to farm these Repeatable Treasures for profession skill points but this seems incredibly difficult. In Dragonflight you opened 2 - 3 chests and you were done. Looking up "WoW (quest name)" is frequently pretty helpful. That said, it doesn't always have a god tutorial; but it's always a good first stop if you're stuck

For example, the Tears of (I forget) quest in the Broken Isles. There are no good tutorials on YT, wowhead, or icyveins (another pretty good wow info website); they all just show the tear but not say where or how to get it in the first place. I just gave up and moved on at that point.
Point is: if you're stuck, I'd first look it up and if there's nothing, then ask for help from someone

The issue is that this game has, like, 19 layers of phasing and timewalking and 20 years of content, some of which has been removed or changed or is otherwise no longer applicable. Just the other day, I was trying to get my hands on the HD Faction mounts from Pandaria, and absolutely nowhere is there any up-to-date information about what that process is like today, or what the best way to go about it is. I was settling in for a monstrous rep grind, until seemingly out of nowhere, I was suddenly able to accept quests that gave rep (and much more rep than the wowhead guide said they would, implying it's been buffed since), and steamrolled through the rest of the grind in an hour.

So when doing content from previous expansions for mounts or transmog, there's so much mud to wade through just to figure out what you can even do, let alone the best way to do it.

The phasing is especially problematic.

In remix, there was a campaign quest line "The Dreadsworn" I believe it was called, and while the quest would show on my big map, it wasn't there on my mini map and the NPC was phased out. Even on my alt remix toon, it didn't show. And I finished every single remix quest there too. I looked it up and saw a few others have had that problem.

There are few things more frustrating than being told to go to place X and accept quest Y from NPC Z, only to find that said NPC either isn't present, or even worse; they're there, but they don't offer the quest.

stuff like phasing issues can even be a problem in current content so thats just a wow issue in general but again you will find most of the information you need in the wowhead comment section. If its about old content then most of the comments will be from the time it was recent but most of the stuff still applies and if it doesnt then you will probably find a comment below that comment stating such

I've previously relied heavily on Wowhead comments, yes, but when they fail you, there's oftentimes literally ZERO information about some of this stuff

It's obviously an issue that comes with the territory of having such an old game with so much content, but it can be extremely frustrating.

I tried to make a macro for alchemical Wild Experimentation, because i use it every 10 minutes and it got old super fast

I did this:

First line opens alchemy window, second select wild experimentation, third uses herbs in my bank

But for that i need to have herbs in my bag

While if i use the select herb in the crafting window, i can also use herbs from my bank

Its because "/run C_TradeSkillUI.CraftRecipe(427174)" makes wow use recipe, and then cursor turns into that hand that is to select an item, same as with disenchanting or something

ok that's a more complex macro than i had thought, but i'll guess the answer is probably not, /use specifically targets things your character can directly interact on your bags or spellbook for example, while to achieve what you want you would probably need to emulate a mouse click with a macro, im not entirely sure of the details but that function was made more strict on this last patch

there also seems to be a bug with mats coming out of the warband bank too. if you are doing a mass craft from the warband bank it will make one then give you an error message saying you don't have the mats but then be like "oh jk you have enough mats to make 100s, please click the mass craft button again" just to repeat the same error after crafting one again.

I think i mostly see that bug when for example i have 3 mats in my bag but craft needs 5, and the rest is in bank.
Then after each craft it stops, because it sees that i have not enough in my bag, and doesnt check the bank again

I then need to either visit a bank and put everything in bank OR my bag, or delete leftover mats from my bag

I decided that alts are for making money, and for my main i want profession that has gameplay perks, and that has many fun recipes that can be collected, even from old world

And i guess Engi/Alch is the only combo that has old world relevant recipes that makes collecting them fun 😄

What makes engineering good for a main is all of the quality of life crafts and tools and gadgets it makes. If you're not utilizing it you're better off replacing it with something else like Herbalism to benefit Alchemy

But yeah, you don't make gold with engineering

Because Dragonflight is the default leveling content from 10-70. To have another expansion's content scale from 10-70 and allow you to queue for its dungeons you need to select that expansion from Chromie using Chromie Time. Chromie can be found at the embassy in your capital city, marked on the map with an hourglass icon. If you're already level 70 and cannot use Chromie Time, then you're limited to Dragonflight dungeons in the Dungeon Finder until you get the new expansion, where you'll be able to access TWW dungeons. If you're level 70+ and cannot use Chromie Time, you'll have to go to that dungeon's entrance yourself or with a premade group

Hey guys, how much is dragonflying faster than normal flying?
Im trying to decide when i should use which. I know that with max flight speed (after speed skill use) it can be a few times faster, but im talking normal use, when i mostly glide down at the minimal angle that lets me regenerate vigor

Also who else think that instead of long cast time switch flight style we should have separate abilities "mount with dragonflight" and "mount normal"

Go on wowhead for the quest chain and make sure you don't have any surrounding quests/any are available. I'll say if nothing else the one time I had to get support to step in they just gave me the quest completion albeit it was for a legion mount quest so not relevant content

All race, class, and spec combinations are viable for all forms of content and the best one is going to be the one you're better at playing and enjoy the most. The only classes not recommended for new or inexperienced players are Death Knights, Demon Hunters, and Evokers due to them having unique starting zones, may not direct you to the appropriate leveling content, and lack a starting tutorial experience for the game itself

If you're not into grind fests, I honestly suggest you stop playing the game. No offense, it's just that you're not going to enjoy it. The whole game is about farming gear. At first, you're leveling, but it feels like a struggle because you're not getting the gear you need.
Then you hit max level, and it's still a struggle because your gear isn't good enough. Eventually, you'll reach a point where your gear is decent enough to run mythic dungeons and mythic+. The goal there is to push higher keys to get better gear. It's a constant cycle.

Ignore what other people say, WoW is a game that's been around for 20 years now, and whilst some people may deny it, there's definitely 20 years of content that you can play through.

Warbands allow you to do whatever you want on any character and it'll virtually benefit all of your characters, whereas previously it was only one.

Increasing reputations with various factions (although most old world factions aren't account wide YET, but they will be), collecting transmog to make your characters look cool, or completing old achievements, there's plenty to do, personally i find myself getting lost down one rabbit hole after another, see someone wearing a cool chestpiece, find the mobs to drop it, then on my way to those mobs i find another quest to do, etc.

There seems to be a dissproportionate amount of people who stick around in the WoW community despite hating it or not playing it, Ignore them, if you're enjoying it that's all that matters :)

you shouldnt need the entirety of it, the exact chain you need is "a dying world/the heart of azeroth", then "the wolf's offensive/Send the fleet" to open nazjatar, a few quests in nazjatar magni should speak to you summoning you back to the chamber of the heart, where you would unlock the heart forge and the essence quests

no it shouldn't matter, transmog is account-wide so once you obtain it with w/e character, all characters on your account will be able to use it as well
