When a quest sends you to a dungeon, you're supposed to do that quest while in a dungeon group

Yeah, that's not solo, you're supposed to do that with a party. Use the Group Finder tool like you did at the end of Exile's Reach to find a group for the dungeon

You could choose your racial starting zone instead, but Exile's Reach is a much better starting zone. Faster 1-10 leveling, much better gear, and gets you to relevant content for leveling faster

The racial starting zones are old. Old. Most from the Cataclysm expansion. Exile's Reach is a newer starting experience

Ferocity for lust and leech, Cunning for a freedom and tenacity for dmg mitigation

A ferocity pet if you need BL, a spirit beast if you don't. Extra leech from Blood of the Rhino can be okay, chimaera if you want to slow adds, devilsaur for anything with regen/healing that gets annoying. But in most other circumstances you want a spirit beast for the on demand heal from Spirit Mend, defensive cooldown in Fortitude of the Bear, and smidgen of extra stam from Endurance Training

Expansion leveling content that's dense and you're familiar with. Even if one zone drops more experience than another, if you're unfamiliar with it then you're going to go through it just as slowly.

Leveling is faster and more streamlined than default now more than it ever has been to the degree that leveling is so trivial, many players don't consider a character even "made" until max level.

Don't worry about how fast you're leveling. Worry about learning the game and what you're doing. Myself and others have seen this before--if you're constantly cutting corners, you're going to be making even more mistakes and coming back here asking for more help instead of being in a position to help others

Nobody can answer an unasked question 🙂 It doesn't hurt to ask, but keep in mind that keybinds are entirely preferential and are best set for the comfort of the individual player. For example, the majority of my keybinds are all on my 12 button mouse using alt/shift/ctrl modifiers

SOLVED: There was a default Bliz keybinding (Target Pet) on Shift+F1. I unbinded it and it works

So, I am an Elemental Shaman, and I have the talent "Elemental Orbit," which "Increases the number of Elemental Shields you can have active on yourself by 1. You can have Earth Shield on yourself and one ally at the same time." I have Lightning Shield bound to F1 (since I don't use it often). However, since I'm short on keybinds, I tried to create a macro that puts Earth Shield on the same bar slot and appears only if I press "Shift."

I know that the macro works because I have the same for my Lightning Bolt and Chain Lightning. They are both on the 5 key, and when I press 5, it casts Lightning Bolt, and when I press Shift+5, it casts Chain Lightning (I haven't created a macro with the combination of Shift+5).

The problem is now that the macro does not work on my shields, and especially something is wrong with the Shift + F1. For example, if I move the button to, let's say, "5 keybind," by pressing 5, it casts Lightning Shield, and by pressing Shift+5, it casts Earth Shield. But when I move it back to F1, it records only the F1 command, even though when I press Shift, the spells on the bar are shifting. I have tested to reset my keyboard; I tested if the buttons + combinations work. Everything is fine, but I don't know why Shift + F1 does not work! The only solution is to place the macro on another keybind and put something else on F1.

The type of pet for the Animal Companion talent is irrelevant and only cosmetic. It's functionally treated the same as your primary pet. As far as which pet is best, it will be the exotic type pet with the ideal pet family ability and pet specialization combo for the type of content and encounters you are currently playing. It's situational and there isn't one "pick this" answer.

Because both new and experienced players alike quickly become overwhelmed without learning their abilities and talents through leveling, and the level 70 boost itself is bad for a new player especially since it also skips you past a lot of the introductory content for Dragonflight that introduces you to the expansion and its gameplay systems

Regularly both new and experienced players alike have come here asking for help with problems not understanding their characters caused due to character boosts, and I myself can say that I've always ended up deleting every character that I've ended up using a boost on. They're just not worth using on anything other than alts of the same class for another spec, faction, or realm

You can. That is what is called a "Non-Combat ready Tmog" in the RP Community. Hunters can WEAR Leather but not Tmog it, so you would have to actually farm those leather pieces physically to actually put them on. You would be incredibly underpowered but if you are RPing, then that doesnt matter

Chrome Time is only for leveling 10-60, the content is always there with or without it. Make sure you didn't start a quest with a scenario or phased instances, and finish that if you did. If you go back to the boat, there should be an NPC there saying how long until the next one comes. The portal shouldn't be available until you've already made it to Valdrakken

You can get them in multiple difficulties a week just you are capped 10 a week unless you are behind

Mhm, that's a world server or authentication server issue that's pretty common. Fully log back out, close the game, hop back in, and try it again. If it's still down check the Blizzard CS twitter/x account and the service status forums

To get the basics out of the way, I would suggest trying out Looking For Raid first since it is a queued activity and will allow you to do Vault of the Incarnates if you're just wanting to check it out. Looking for Raid (LFR) becomes available at max level (70), and Item Level 370 (?) I think. It will tell you in-game regardless. Hit up your Group Finder on your player menu, with the default keybind being ( I ) I think.

If you're hoping to do the higher difficulties - Normal, Heroic and Mythic - you'll need to get a group together through friends or the Premade Group-tab also found in the Group Finder.

Most listings in the premade finder will provide basic info as for requirements to join them, or you can list your own. Since Vault of the Incarnates is a few tiers behind I doubt players are too stingy about requirements beyond just having enough in the group to get through the content. A dozen or two players or so with semi-decent gear should be able to roll through at least Normal and possibly Heroic, I imagine.

As opposed to gear directed and intended for specific content (such as PvE/PvP gear respectively), beyond your Attributes and Enhancements on the gear there's nothing about it that's Specialization specific. So I'm playing pally and I barely have any talents unlocked on the prot tree etc. There is a passive later on in the tree that grants dmg reduction when standing in consecration. I am not sure if there is a way currently to pick the skip now if you didn't pick it when you had the chance. My characters that haven't touched SL and are lvl 60 or higher can pick threads, but my characters that touched SL and are part way through the storyline can't pick threads. It doesn't appear to be the same for everyone as I tested it with someone like a week or 2 again and we were getting different things

My gear is from toward the end of Shadowlands and was good for midrange M+, so it wouldn't surprise me if it is good enough for the start of Dragonflight. I'm just a little confused and hesitant because I got used to green quest rewards of a new expansion being better than the previous expansion's endgame gear. So, I assumed that when Blizzard says "We've supplied you with a whole new set of high-level gear," they're talking about gear that will be slightly better than Shadowlands's endgame gear, not over 90 iLvls below SL's gear!

My instinct says what I'm seeing is correct and I should dump this "high-level gear" Blizzard supplied and use my SL gear until I get items that have higher iLvls. So, I'm guessing the same will apply to you. I just hope some folks with more experience in Dragonflight and this new Gear Upgrade business can confirm all this.

Yeah that’s what I would do. You will level fast anyway and the new loots will come just as quickly

This is why for the majority of the players who play WoW, metas and tier lists are irrelevant

I THINK those are called aura bars. In the initial setup process you can choose between bars and icons (or both iirc). You should find their settings in the buffs/debuffs section of the unitframe they are attached to

Take the time to level from the beginning, you need to learn your classes' spells, rotation and build muscle memory. back in the day druids had to do a lot of quests to earn or upgrade their forms, most of those starting or happening entirely within moonglade... in retail the usefulness is pretty limited, and eventually it may get replaced with Dreamwalk if you ever do the legion intro, in this upgraded version you teleport to the emerald dreamway, which has a lot more portals, to moonglade, duskwood, hinterlands, grizzly hills, feralas, mount hyjal and of course the druid class hall in the broken isles

I wouldn't even say that the dead server is "easiest" anymore either. I'm on a high pop realm that's active and still see Oondasta quite active. Perhaps your timing is also bad? I know someone who made a hunter less than a month ago and already is running around with two Oondastas

But, no, Oondasta is not a very difficult or rare tame anymore--especially considering that most BM hunters who want devilsaurs for reasons like PvP would rather get an undead devilsaur, as undead pets won't get feared/CC'd as easily
