Paladin would be a solid class to start off with they have a dps healer and tank spec, I would not recommend starting as tank as majority of the time players want to run with tanks that knows the dungeons well and the mechanics

Preferably you want to choose the faction that your friends play the most, but nowadays guilds and endgame content (aside from random queues) can be cross-faction. So mainly focus on playing what you want. Choose the race, class, and spec combination that you enjoy the most

having an issue, starting back in wow again and am decent way through the msqs of dragonflight but for awhile now i cant right click some items, more specificly dragonflight items like "Windborn Velocidrake" mount, and all of the customization items for my dragonflight mounts(except for the 1st few i got). but i can right click any other gear and items just not that stuff idk why

any ideas?

It wasn't until the Warlords of Draenor expansion when I genuinely gave other classes a try and realized hunter has my preferred playstyle across all three specs. Take your time, try things out, and always prioritize having fun before other factors

Since after dragonflights launch i've been getting this infuriating bug that some addon causes an error and won't let me click anything from my bags or use any abilities. It happens very frequently and if i disable the addon it tells is causing the error then it will just be another addon that does the same exact thing. It's driving me insane. You do install addons at your own risk, as stated on the box. It just takes time to go through and manage what you can so that you don't have errors and conflicts

Hey! So I've had an issue with getting the Zandalar maim quest kickstarted, and I've tried looking everywhere online to help but not found anything

I've completed Nazmir 8/8 and Vol'Dun 7/7, there are no quests on the scouting table

Are you referring to the Zuldazar zone storyline, the Zandalar Forever questline, or the War Campaign? I would make sure you're tracking Trivial Quests on the minimap (if you're max level) and then seeing if there are any quest icons on your map you've missed, or using wowhead's BFA attunement tracker to figure out what you need to prioritize. If it's one of the later questlines such as Zandalar Forever or the War Campaign, make sure you've picked up the quest to get your Heart of Azeroth amulet from the Earthen NPC there near the Great Seal

Hello. I hope I'm not breaking any rules or anything. But I have a problem. Recently, I bought a WoW DF key. Now, because my Battle net is located in Europe, I bought a European key. The key code works. It's functioning. But it won't let me activate it because my WoW account is a US one. So now I have a functioning EU key I can't even use for my US account. I was wondering what I can do in this situation? Like, am I allowed to trade codes with people? I know trying to sell stuff in discord servers or the WoW Reddit is a no go in some cases. And I can't buy a new code, since I don't have the money for that atm. Otherwise, I would've bought it.

I won't lie. I'm afraid to trade codes with people, because I feel like I'll get scammed. And I don't have my own business company to sell my key on G2A or any other of those key sites.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Whether it's from moderators or users... But I would prefer to talk with a trusted individual, like a moderator or an admin. Whatever works.

If I could get any sort of help with this situation, I would greatly appreciate it. Maybe a site I could sell it in or trade for it on a site. Anything.

In the first place I wonder how you end up with an EU Battle.net and an US account. Secondly I would just start by contacting Blizzard themselves, they might just be able to switch your key or change your accounts. @wise sage

All of my friends who play WoW are from the US and Canada, so I went with a US server. And I already contacted Blizzard... They can't switch the key. "Thank you for contacting us today regarding the questions here about these codes you have for Dragonflight. Because they are registered in EU, you wouldn't be able to use them on a US account. We do not have a way to swap these to another region and if they were purchased from another retailer, you would need to go back there for assistance." It's really hard to say what a bar should or shouldn't look like, especially if you're using actionbar UI addons. As long as all of your abilities are bound and able to be used as-needed based on your rotation and situational priority you'll be fine--especially if you're changing any keybinds for your actionbars. How does the whole WoW Classic and WotLK work? Do I make a char on wow classic and then when I want to go to wotlk content it moves over to there? Or do I need to make a char on wotlk and ignore the wow classic option?

@pine scaffold If you're wearing gray/white gear, that's one thing that's holding you back. Either hope for some better gear thru questing or visit the AH. You want to do high damage, but not have high threat. Use Misdirect or Vanish as needed to pass off threat to your friend (if they're more of a tanking class) Read an assassin rogue leveling guide on Wowhead too

Rogue sucks while levelling because of bad scaling. They dont care about that, they will never balance it. Rogue is the class that suffers the most from this. Next bad is dk probably

Monk and mage do insane dps when they are low, prot warr as well, its just very unbalanced. Its not your fault.

You are missing many of your core abilities before like level 30 40 and when you get there, it feels playable, but the other classes just have better quality of spells unlocked by that time and way better talents. Rogue class talents (especially early on) are 90% for utility and 0 dps increase. Your only damage increasing talents may come from "assassination" tree eventually, but the core spells are just scaled badly, doing no damage, your poison is quite irrelevant early on even as assa, its just bad design for levelling rogues and its painful

I suggest you to try Classic Wrath first - there are many QOL changes for the class spells/talents, the game's pace is about 0.75 of retail and you can get 80 with lower /played time than youd get to 60 in Classic. Classic pace is about 0.25 of retail id say, you have to drink/eat after 3 mobs at most (unless you are hunter), less flight paths, mount unlocked at lvl. 40 and costs a lot of gold, and 1 level after 55 area can take you 6 hours /played even if you are a veteran

You also do experience Classic levelling while playing wrath, just at a more convenient pace and i guess no lvl 60 raiding - but most of the bosses are tank and spank

Depends what your end goal is and what you plan to focus on at max level - based on your class, your group will expect different things from you, although if you are new at the game people should understand you are still learning the fundamentals about the game
Rogues are good at doing single-target/priority damage and in dungeons focus on controlling enemies thru various means - short CD interrupt(kick) , stuns via cheap shot/kidney shot to stop important abilities, disorients via Sap and Blind
Assa has weak aoe, but good single target.
If what i mentioned above doesnt suit you - its up to you if you want to switch, i can't make that choice for you.
Some good aoe classes would be... WW monk, Ret paladin, Mage, Devoker, Boomkin (needs gear), shaman maybe
Some good ST classes... Unholy DK, Assa rogue, Fire Mage, Warlock
You have longer cooldowns on CC abilities on those classes as well

New player realms are basically empty ones they like to shove new players. It won't be as big of a problem next expansion, but for the immediate future you're better off making a new character on a high or full pop realm just so you have access to more guilds and local players. It won't be a loss if you make a new one somewhere else. Most players don't even consider a character fully "made" until max level anyway, and anything that you've added to your Collections window already such as mounts, pets, and gear appearances are account-wide

Honestly, it just sounds like you have a skill issue. If practice and work doesn't make you enjoy playing rogue more across either three specs, then maybe it's just the playstyle itself you don't enjoy and it's time to try learning another class. That's fine too

Hi, I'm planning on getting back into WoW with a friend after a long break and dont know what specs would work best in a duo setup for general open world gameplay. So far we plan on playing a tank (probably Druid) and a DPS who ideally also has some healing abilities and can fully spec over to healing for dungeons etc.

The main ideas right now are either shadow priest, feral druid, or evoker. Evoker looks interesting especially cause its new but I have no idea if the damage you get as preservation evoker is enough for this setup. Augmentation sounds like it mainly works by buffing others, so that wouldnt work (?) and devastation idk if that has enough healing.

Any advice would be appreciated 🙂

Can you folks share some of your thoughts on my dilemma about how to best use the level boost from TWW?

I'm a chronic main struggler. I've not had a main since I started WoWing in Shadowlands. I have 8 classes at level 70 but never really played PvE endgame, just a bit of PvP. I always suffer from not sticking to one character to really learn it, enjoy it and all of its stories and challenges in PvE and PvP.

I'm about to bet on maining Mage for the foreseeable future (if I can trust myself), and I've leveled my first Mage to 62. Today I found out that the TWW level boost includes 20 Renown (my max is 10 in about two factions because of the lack of a main )

So I'm considering whether it's worth it to boost 62 to 70 and bet that I will stay a Mage main for a real while, or instead boost another much lower level class for the purpose of learning it, but then I only get the renown catch-up multiplier for "alts" if I stick to my level 62 Mage for the foreseeable future.

you should be able to level from 62 to 70 prety quick. Just do the dragonflight questline. i just level 3 toons from around 55 each to 70 in like 2 weeks of casual play. but the DF questline pounds through it pretty quick. Timewalking dungeons help a lot too.

Pick the one you like the most and stick with in and practice is usually the answer to that

All race, class, and spec combinations are viable for all forms of content and the best one is going to be the one you're better at playing and enjoy the most. Really, the best way to manage a main is to pick the character you have the most fun playing and then STICK TO PLAYING THAT CHARACTER, and only working on alts once you've done your weeklies and dailies for that character and feel like you've caught up on current content. I was also an altaholic for years, and the only way to nail down my main was to take the time to figure out what playstyle sparked the most dopamine and sticking to completing all of my goals on the Today in WoW section on wowhead.com as a "to do guide" before moving on to an alt

that's hard to choose, the only class i played "for competetive" was monk which i hit once 2k rio, i played warrior only to get garosh shoulders and stopped when achieved my goal

and paladin prot was fun, but i think i want to start being dps

I made a mage alt which I leveled with Chromie Time/Dragonflight quests. Never touched Shadowlands with this character. Now I want a tabbard which requires exalted with the Court of Harvesters. But my question is... how can I even start that? I teleported to Oribos with the mage teleport and there is no scouting map and all of the flight paths to the other islands are disabled. I also don't see any way to start the SL story normally. How do I get this?

You need to do the intro quest. For Alliance, go to the stairs of SW Keep, talk to new Lich King. For Horde, I dunno
