i've seen different Weak Auras for that and also an addon. I've never used them but you can look up "GCD History" for the auras and "TrufiGCD" for the addon. They are meant to show the history for party members in pvp arenas and such but you should be able to configure them so they just display your own history

i dont know about compatibility with the current patch tho. its still quite new so they might not be updated

Hello. I'm looking to search the item database based on effect types of the spell associated with the item. Wowhead has the information about the spell used by an item, but I can't seem to query it in either direction in searches.

Example:

I want to search all items that have an associated spell with the effect Apply Aura: Mod Rating .

the issue with going for Goggles for the engineering item is that generally Shoulder is the tier slot that has a better tuned piece or crafted item, so if you're going for the goggles or whatever the druid helm was you're locked into not swapping out the shoulder slot for off-tier and also when gearing for a new tier may have to drop it anyway to get 2 or 4 piece on the way

I finished my Covenant quests and did a little Torghast and a few "auto chess" missions when sending out minions. Never pvp-ed, raided or dungeoneered. What should I know for my comeback? I feel like I have a lot of Shadowlands to finish first. Should I finish the chains of domination and other campaigns first? I'm honestly lost in this game, I don't know what to do other than I like fishing. The game is so confusing even after a few hundreds of hours playing

If you compare how you're playing VS what's recommended and understand when, where, and how to use your abilities through practice and you'll actually learn what you're supposed to be doing. Unfortunately, video guides are unreliable because they only focus on set rotations or become quickly out of date depending on patches and hotfixes or are only focusing on one scenario or situation--everyone starts somewhere, and if you want to become good/proficient at what you're doing you need to start from the basics and get understanding of your ability and talent priorities so you're not just memorizing, copying, or parroting

I have still some performance issues in raids, I even upgraded my pc in the past months and I got from 10 to 30 fps in raids but 30 fps is still kinda low. The most usage I can find through my task manager is the RAM.. probably because I use a lot addons. Could it help to just upgrade my ram even more?

Because minimum would be kinda expected. A raid is one of those instances where you have a bunch of players + npcs at once doing a bunch of stuff that gets tracked by your game/addons. Fps being shit in those cases is to be expected

i would say maximum, I use elvui and I think that is causing a lot perfomance issues even tho I already followed the "increase perfomance guide" by elvui
when I am standing afk with my guild I get maybe even 60 fps out of combat, once we enter it immediatly drops to 30 and even goes below

Depends on what you're trying to do. For endgame content like m+ and raiding some addons like DBM, a damagemeter and weakauras are almost mandatory but you can of course get away without them

Nothing to be intimidated by. Dbm is just there to tell you what to avoid and what not to avoid so you dont die and a damagemeter is there to check your Performance so you can improve your gameplay

If you know your damage is fine and you dont have a leading role then you can leave the damagemeter and if you know the bosses mechanics from watching/reading guides and you can memorize that stuff you probably wont need dbm either but its very much recommended to use them. BtWQuests can help. Want to know where every rare is located in current content and what they can potentially drop as loot? TomCat's Tours tells you. Do you want to try your hand at pet battling? Rematch and/or Pet Tracker. If none of this interests you, or there's an aspect of the game I haven't touched on, you're fine without addons

Hi there. Wowhead was suggested to me by a friend, and I'm a completely new player. Right now I am trying to learn the fundamentals of the game, and someday I will be able to participate in high level raiding/mythics in a guild once I'm fully ready.

That being said, I'm planning on playing Brewmaster. I have looked at all the races and I've narrowed my selection down a bit, and I was wondering of anyone could help explain to me what the advantages of each would be and which would be most or least useful for eventual high level play. Human, Dwarf, Gnome, Pandaren, and Worgen are the races that are the most interesting to me for this Brewmaster right now.

Humans just seem really good overall from what I can tell, and Dwarves seem good for Tanks. Pandaren seem like they were just made to be Monks, Worgen get movement bonuses, and Gnomes have Escape Artist and Expansive Mind which seem like they could be really useful on a Monk as well. Anyone know anything beyond this? I only have an introductory level understanding right now.

If you're unable to return to your body there's always the option of rezzing at a graveyard--however if you're a high enough level do keep in mind that Resurrection Sickness is a thing. You'll get a warning if this is the case when you try to rez at a graveyard

You're probably looking at heirloom gear. They're a quality of life type of gear that levels with your character so you don't have to worry about filling a slot while leveling--heirlooms aren't something you should worry about as a new player, as they're a considerable gold investment and you can level perfectly fine without them

Some are sold from guild vendors, others from different reputation vendors, and of course the heirloom vendors

That, or you're just looking at gear that people have transmogged to look like other collected pieces of gear. To many players, unlocking collections and styles for transmog is the real endgame

I just got dragonflight on a new acc and started the download, although it's sitting at 'Updating' and 'Initializing (x/2203048)' and continues to restart from (0/2203048) and stays at 0%. I need to complete a BfA dungeon for a quest chain I'm trying to complete for an achievement. But I can't use dungeon finder for it because I'm over lvl60.
Where is a good place to ask for help?

If you're 70, you can probably solo it. If it's for one of the achievements for an allied race, you can skip the dungeon by talking to the NPC that gave the quest.

I'm having that issue sitting at 'Updating' and 'Initializing' but I've restarted pc, battle.net, uninstalled battle.net, uninstalled WoW, deleted files in my folders, and even turned off my AV and still can't get the game to even download

I just now downloaded WOW classic for the first time, and I keep getting a active game time is required to play message. Does anybody know what I need to do? I've played retail already so I don't understand what it means.

Yeah, to play any version of WoW--retail, classic, or wrath classic--you need to have a subscription or active gametime on your account

Those zones don't exist anymore, they were replaced in Cataclysm and those Old World zones are effectively and technically Cataclysm zones

TBC through BFA though, most of those starter and leveling zones are accessible at level 10. To check which zones a Starter Edition account would be able to play, look at your map and look at the level scaling for that zone. As long as the first number is 20 or less, a Starter Account can play that content

I recently started dragonflight, and got a new toon up to level 100 dragonflight fishing. (base fishing is still unleveled). normally every 10 fishing attempts I hook up 3-5 of them are greys. (Also using a 5* blue rod with 90+ perception + mackerel to further push fishing ). Is this an expected rate of greys at max fishing ? (just feels really high)
