Yea, I removed DBM a couple of years ago. BigWigs helps in not taking a while to load.

mine isn't even load times since it's a DDR5 machine with PCIE4s, it was purely talking to folk and finding out that BW is tracking timers better. wasn't sure at first but then tried both on alts in LFR and BW actually tracks Council properly whereas DBM was often firing the bar and then cast warning early or not at all for the two casters

You only need four characters to unlock all transmog from all four covenants, one for each armor type. The best way to do it is to have the character do the campaign, then max out renown before swapping to the next one. All sanctum upgrades for that covenant remain for that covenant

Before swapping covenants, make sure you buy the account-bound anima item from the vendor next to Oribos's flight master so you can carry over your anima reserves. That vendor also sells an item that greatly boosts your current covenant's renown--buy that after you join the covenant and you should max out the renown the rest of the way via the covenant campaign

Anima can be very easy to farm especially once you access Zereth Mortis. If you're worried about collecting mogs, focus on upgrading the special covenant sanctum feature first though

Hi, I play a BM hunter and I enjoy it. But, sometimes in combat my pets just go away and when I try to use kill command it says I don’t have a pet so I have to summon them back. those dungeons are from the legion expansion, the game doesn't want new players to go off and get confused by other expansions until you level a second character. once you hit 60 when level an different character you will be able to select different expansion to level in. if you want to do those ones now your only option would be making a group by city chat and going to the dungeon and summoning everyone

you should be sticking to the BfA campaign while leveling your first character since it will scale while you level until 60 unlike other expansions

I got a bit of a weird but also confusing situation.

My girlfriend logged into wow yesterday evening, she saw she had a mail in her mailbox from herself,

The mail said:

Subject: You have been removed from vault NM 8/8

Body: (her wow name) has removed you from Vault NM 8/8. Tuesday April 4th 2023 at 8pm

But she's never did the vault on normal and nor did she remove herself or mail herself at all.

So we're both a bit confused to what is going on.

Any help will be much appreciated!

Deadly Boss Mods (DBM) and its associated content plug-ins are a good start. Learning how to properly read a meter like Details! or Recount can also be useful for improving individual performance. I'd avoid any big UI overhaul addons for now, but you can also see a list of recommended addons per class on your spec guides on wowhead.com

I would also add "WeakAuras" to that. Even tho you might not have any use for it right now it often happens that a raid group uses some aura for a specific encounter and shares that in chat. If you have that addon installed you can just import that and work with the group more efficiently

I don't think they would show up on the world map, just the minimap. I haven't looked at that menu in a while, but it's theoretically context sensitive, so you'd have to be in a major town to see the options.

Leveling is so trivial and streamlined nowadays that most players don't even consider a character "made" until they're leveled. Allied races are unlockable rewards behind the content where they were introduced. If you want to play them, you have to get the associated achievements to do so. If you play the game as recommended by getting caught up to current content, once you're leveled and geared you can blow through those prerequisites and questlines in no time at all. The game is basically set up so that you're brought up to current content easily, and then free to do what you want after

If it's your first character, you'll want to do BFA for the level scaling.

Exile's Reach is faster 1-10/11 than the racial starting zones and gives you better gear by that point for questing, as well. That, and you can only choose Exile's Reach at character creation while all of the other racial starting zones (aside from goblins, worgen, and pandaren) are available to go to at any time at any level

well you seem to have missed the main quest markings then. they are highlighted by having a sort of shield behind the exclamation/questionmark

But thats something that hasnt been in the game for that long since mainquests arent REALLY a thing in wow. You usually quest through all the zones of an expansion in a natural way. you reach a questhub, do all of the quests there and while doing so get other breadcrumb quests leading you to another questhub or zone. you do that until there is nothing left to do.

When they introduced actual Campaigns (something you could call mainquest line) they marked those with the mentioned shield behind the icon.

I got kicked about 3 weeks ago for daring to go get the haste buff in AA ( non-HC/M+ ) @hasty spear , so it still happens

@wise fjord because until they applied it to both leavers and people getting kicked tanks/heals used to sit in dungeons they didn't like and literally go "kick me, I ain't running this POS" until they got kicked then instaqueued back in

i actually prefer the system to use 3/5 votes and i wish other games would handle it that way too. For example in Counter-Strike we often go in as a team of 3 people with 2 randoms. more often than not those 2 turn out to be russian trolls and we cant kick either of them because guess what the other one votes no GWcmeisterPeepoShrug so we are stuck for ~45 mins with people swearing in russian, shooting at us and griefing in chat. Majority vote is generally good. sucks in this case but its not like thats the norm

yeah i think so. you should be able to contact support about it to transfer a wow account to another battlenet account as long as you can prove ownership of both but some things might not transfer like some achievements and mounts and stuff.

That's the worst possible exp gain route. Ever since level scaling was introduced in Legion it made the dungeon grind a grind. Fastest solo leveling is done questing while remaining queued for relevant content dungeons 10-60. If you don't have Chromie Time, the default 10-60 content will be in the Battle for Azeroth leveling zones of Zandalar or Kul Tiras

Then yeah, using Legion Chromie Time for your DH is a good idea if you also want to do the order hall campaign. I'd recommend making sure you complete Val'sharah so you can get the Tears of Elune. You'll need that for Legion campaign progress

So I'd like to know if anyone can confirm if leatherworking actually makes mail, or if it's just sort of an afterthought or something you need max level LW for. Do they make mediocre mail gear here and there like leather?

If your goal is to make money with professions, then yeah, perhaps it's not worth the time because you're competing with people that are established.
If you're making your own stuff? Sure, it can be worth it. You can get experience with it!

as i said before the crafted gear can/is on par with mythic raid gear and sometimes/most of the times you'll have a BiS item that is crafted

ah well VD is in Thaldraszus and i don't think there's anything really stopping you from flying there if you have DRing but all main AHs are connected so there's no difference between VD AH and ORG AH

I can just be trying to do stuff in the questing hubs and I just can't- I havent done expansion stuff in years and I know that's how it must have been for years but Im confused at how anyone tolerates it

so let me ask since it's on my mind, what I remember about world PVP before the level-crunch and chromie-time was that, you know, you'd be questing along side enemies of a similar level but sometimes a high level would come seal club.

But if the world scales to you now, is there any rhyme or reason at all toward fighting other people in the world?

eh, PVPers gonna PVP. sometimes if the PVP WQ is in that DF zone they need to kill you for sparks of life
