Your damage will be low whilst levelling. If you start getting low on health, swap to bear form as you take less damage in that, then run away a little (known as Kiting)

Druids also have healing spells which you can use on yourself to top you up during combat

They can, yeah.

But they're less effective than they would be if you're specced into them, and you won't have half the abilities, etc.

So Resto (Healer) Druids can still be bears, moonkin, cats, etc. A common way of playing Resto druid is to stick your Heals Over Time on your party members, then switch to another form to do DPS - known as weaving. It's usually cat, so usually catweaving.

Other specs use this too - most commonly mistweaver (healer) monks - known as fistweaving

Similarly, It's common for druids to switch in and out of bear form in PvP to reduce damage / use the spell bears get to regenate health.

It helps to be over leveled for old raid content if you want to farm mounts or xmog. At level, attempting Sarth 3D will make it a tough fight to survive. Sarth calls the 3 drakes to assist him, so essentially, you're fighting 4 bosses, not 1.

it's literally built round quests and story content, so unless you just ignore the quests and stories there is no way to avoid quests and storyline

you sure? because thats a common newbie error. The Dungeons in the Dungeon Finder are linked to your chosen Chromie Time. If you dont pick any then you are set to BFA until you reach 60 so thats why you dont find that there since you're not even supposed to do that quest/dungeon.

My guess is you just created a character and wandered off instead of following the quests into the BFA content.

yeah i suggest to drop all your current quests, head back to your factions capital and continue on with the Quests for BFA. they should contain "BFA" or "Battle for Azeroth" iirc

Dungeons are group content, and should be queueable from the dungeon finder in the group tab

Rogue does wear a lighter armour type than warrior - generally less hardy, but they have stealth and such to make up for it.

They can only queue for BFA dungeons 10-60 by default. If they're new then they cannot access Chromie Time to scale old expansion content to their level and be allowed to queue for its dungeons in random groups

you will have slight hang since 30ish is about the best most folk will see, and there's sometimes animation padding to cover but generally you should see cast at end of bar or on keypress if proc/instant

That is the reason - you can’t learn a caged pet higher than the highest one you already have. Luckily it is pet bonus week so it will be fairly fast to level one up to 25.

race doesn't matter, by the time Racials matter to play you will know what ones and why

imo if you want to be ranged but also move then it's pretty much Beast Master Hunter and to a lesser degree Demonolgy Warlock ( since it has a lot of passives that make various things instants if they activate, and also one where you can "make" charges to make Demonbolt instant )

every other ranged cast usually has several if not all abilities as "cast and don't move while casting"

enchanting/tailoring - cloth gathering is passive, you can get enchanting mats by disenchanting spare/old equipment, endgame you can make Wands ( with right specialization ) and Equipment
herbalism/alchemy - make your own potions and phials
herbalism/inscription - make you own Staff and other things
mining/engineering - make you own gizmos and head/wrist armour and also tinkers and toys
mining/herbalism - the old "double gather and sell the materials then buy what I need" classic combo

there's a reason everything apart from Ench/Tailoring is a crafting with the matching gather, doing double crafting professions needs both knowledge of the game and also a bankroll since you will be buying every single material/ingredient usually

you mostly need rating either on that character or if using the Raider.IO addon your main to get accepted for higher keys if not running with guild or friends

this is mostly due to the fact that 5 sparks worth of crafted gear plus Forbidden Reach gear plus Timewalking bags means pretty much anyone can get close to or over 400 now easily, so people are more interested in actual Rating

start low, get rating in each dungeon and start climbing after getting rating. without rating you'd need to be listing your own key to do anything since your iLevel is basically "possibly slacker gear. def not Heroic or Mythic raider, def not high key mythic+ geared... unless i see a main 1500+ score via RIO why even chance them bricking my key?"

Side quests are recommended to unlock more rep, rewards, activities, etc. Playing the content presented to you is a good idea, taking your time if it's your main. If you want to gear quickly, heading to the Forbidden Reach is a good idea because of the reputation bonuses and upgradable 385 gear tokens that drop from the content there

In wow there is a system called Chromie Time which allows you to scale any expansion so you can level through it to lv.60 but its locked to BFA (the default) until you leveled your first character to 60. What you do in BFA to reach that level doesnt matter. do what you enjoy

if you want to have both tank + dps specs, warrior, paladin and DK are your go to, unless you want to druid. Warrior is pretty much a faceroll class (it's braindead easy as far as I've experienced) and druid would be my second pick, though guardian druid is so spammy that it can give you carpal tunnel

if you want to just pick up and play, grab an allied race, make warrior go fury + prot and you'll be set, with fury you can just roll your face on the keyboard and things die

BM hunter is another good pick if you want survivability plus straight up DPS

waves in Blessing of Freedom and 2 x Divine Steed along with a whole lot of other stuff and that's before we even talk about any racial abilities or engineering or Crusader Aura ( raid wide boost to Mounted Speed )

Beast mastery only feels more mobile because it can do its entire rotation while moving. In reality, it only has two mobility abilities with Cheetah and Disengage (and harpoon for SV). Paladins--and basically all melee specs--are also able to do their entire rotation while moving and in most cases have multiple movement abilities like the ones Madlampy mentioned

BM is only mobile for a ranged spec

I have a bug that makes dragonriding races and pretty much everything become hard mode whenever it wants, main one is that randomly the cursor becomes a 4 way arrow permanently until I full reset, exiting and restarting the game. You shouldnt follow any guide. Just quest. Do what the game tells you to do. Whenever you're questing through a zone you will travel from quest hub to quest hub and get a handful of small questlines at each of those. Just do them all.

The classic is mining and herbing for good gold.
For class fantasy, probably skinning and leather working.
For 'meta', alchemy and something else.

In reality, it doesn't matter, take what you enjoy.

pretty much none of the professions have any real impact on non-profession based gameplay. Engineering allows you to use some cool items and alchemy doubles the duration of some flasks and elixirs which is nice.

engineering also has Guns and scopes which is nice for Hunter

as Gumball usually lists engineering / mining , leatherworking / skinning, alchemy / herbalism are all good for hunters

you don't farm anything, you do what is listed in the image as I've now said twice

1 : get the recipe for Enhanced Tempest Boots from the Vendor
2: make those till you discover the recipe for Fortified Tempest Boots
3: then make those till you discover the recipe for Tempered Tempest Boots
4: make a pair of Tempered Tempest Boots

Is it possible to only do M+ and Raids, completley ignoring every other content (except for leveling)?
Or am i forced to do any other mendatory stuff in order to unlock things or level up legendary weapons etc. or do i have some major disadvantages with obtaining gear for example?

Sure. There’s nothing you have to really unlock or level.

Maybe buy some crafting materials off the AH to get things crafted for you, but that is about it.

I think for alts, they updated Chromie time at the same time. Hence why they removed it. Plus, they knew people would NOT want to touch SL stuff for at least 1-2 expansions.

I think Chromie time can go up to BFA, if I recall.
