Monks are punchy, rogues are stabby.

personally I'd say rogue, but I'm biased

both are leather users, monk relies on chi and sometimes energy and rogue uses Combo and Energy so they're similar there
monk is imo a bit more bursty at times, while rogue is generally either about sustaining DoTs or lining up a pile of abilities to chain together
both reasonably fast and manouverable, so all down to personal taste

yes, she just yeets you back to SW to annoy you drop you out of CT properly, you can go back and do anything after that. it just isn't gonna scale any more so stuff either isn't good drops any more or is pretty much one shot city for the mobs

Might try war mode, but there is still open world content that requires groups. Itcan be turned off if needed in any rest area, is there a resource that lists these areas, or some add on etc to do so?

it can be turned off in any rested area like you said so just look for an inn and you can turn off there ( I usually just look for a mail box usually youll find an inn behind it) which is indicated by the "ZZZ" coming from your characters party frame. however it can only be turned on in your factions main city or Valdrakken so turning it off often isn't something that is advised.

you can group up in WM and do quests together it just requires everyone to be in WM to work together

There are a bunch of ways to get gear now. Normal, then Heroic and Mythic Dungeons, world quests and crafting are probably the fastest not including PvP

@frank valve it's a hell of a lot easier to get a grip on than in vanilla... back then it was "hope you read every single tooltip you have because some of this stuff does something totally different in PvP" and "heh... rekt"

good rogue player could literally stunlock you if they got the drop, Hunters could shred you in seconds, S Priest could literally nuke your health bar while reaming your energy/mana

biggest thing to remember is the charts you're seeing are people with BiS setups and the reflexes of a small child on sugar doing perfect/almost perfect rotations knwoing the fight inside out

yes, but mainly because you not only have harder mechanics due to them being tuned againt 5 healers and 2 tanks... but you have 20 more random idiots also in there

if you want to do them as practice then any day apart from the two before reset is generally fine, but if you're after loot try and get them done day of reset as that's when the folk who actually have a clue will be in with you

honestly theyre' not too bad, you just sometimes have runs where people are in and haven't even read the journal for basics on the fights or are deliberately afk etc so can be an issue

reset day runs are the other way round where pretty much everyone in knows the fights and is either still going for tier pieces or gearing an alt, so tend to go much smoother

so if you didn't read journal you get folk wondering why they are frozen/stunned or ineed doing the classic of debuffing the whole raid as they run though everyone

So i invested in engineering and crafted both the bracers and goggles, the Brez tinker is ok, though it can backfire fucking up an already dicey situation, but damn, all the other tinkers leave me super disappointed, i invested on tinker success on the tree so the grounded circuitry seems like a waste, the flamethrower looks super cool but does less than half the dps i'd normally do on any amount of targets, and all the others are described as "Beyond useless" to "Actively detrimental" by all the people i've spoken to, is there any saving this profession or should i just use the goggles for the single secondary stat and ignore the rest of this forsaken profession? I'm thinking of dropping it as soon as i get an extra spark to replace my mistakes.

Druid and rogue both have this mechanic where when you change forms (or enter stealth for rogue) your main action bar changes to one for that respective form, but all other action bars (the extra ones you can turn on and off from settings) remain the same. Is there any way to select which bar changes, or to stop the main bar from changing?

With the addon bartender, you can do these things and more. I'm not sure you can prevent the bar switch on the default UI, but I'm fairly sure you can't change to make it so it's anything other than the main bar.
You can mitigate the change by assigning the same spells on all bars

yes, but bear in mind that quite often it's way more than just elvui being used to create it. I think mine's at something like 7 addons including Elvui, with two of them being media extensions to provide textures and fonts

on top of that you're most likely need both private and global profile strings, plus then also any profiles or export strings for other addons like details

probably easier till you know what you're doing is to look at something like Eltruism // MerathalisUI // ToxiUI // BenikUI or see if there's a setup you like on Wago

WoWup/WoWup-CF - covers most if not all of the Curseforge addons and also has Elvui Repos

wago is good for both UI setups for several things like Bartender/Elvui etc, but also for Weakauras...

which again are something you will end up using most likely, but are not new player friendly or even imo needed sub endgame raiding in the most case apart from Quality of Life stuff like poison/aura reminders

Just you yeah, mage is pretty good to stay tanky. :)
You could try warlock which is also more tanky and has a pet, but it's fairly different than mage.

the thing with hero classes is that their intro is not as straight forward/noob friendly as for most other classes which go through the exiles reach tutorial. you can of course play the death knight but its not recommended for new players
