it is from a "story mode" perspective but what the game wants you to do is reach 60 as fast as possible and then head into the most recent content. its always been this way. old content is obsolete once the new stuff drops so you just get to the appropriate level and head straight into it

i would suggest since you're 60 to clear your quest log. position yourself in the capital city of your faction, get dragonflight and start that. once you're up to speed with the current content you can revisit the old content with new chars (like i do. free leveling while im there ) or with your main however you like and you dont miss out on the stuff thats going on RIGHT NOW

If you're in a good guild... sure, you all farm together and bank the mats and everyone can work up their stuff together. We did that early in SL and I didn't have to pay anything for my stuff because someone always could make it as long as we were good about dumping mats in the guild bank.

If not... yeah, its gonna cost you.

but I agree the cost of those enchants right now is astronomical and not worth it for anything but BIS end game gear. Even then, honestly, probably not because 10.1 will just make that replaceable and right now some are going for 6 figures easy.

Majority of classes/specs have high skill cap rotations, and for rated pvp, you'll have to get used to learning your chosen class/specs rotation and optimization

Havoc Demon Hunter has a more, on the surface, simple playstyle but it requires high APM and has a rather high skill ceiling for high end rated pvp

There is a lot of things going on and a lot of stuff that will happen when you dint expect it,l in pvp, such is the nature of the game mode

Currently, you'd have to find a pre-made group or a guild group. Based on what the raid leader expects, it might be hard to get into those unless you find a learning raid.
In a month or so, you'd be able to complete it via Raid Finder which'll randomly put you in a raid group.

Yeah, stole this image from google image search but campaign oriented quests have this little shield around the yellow quest icon. That's really the only different indicator. i think it also factors (in SL if you do that too) renown quests into that icon as well. I honestly can't remember as I blocked Shadowlands out.

I am playing a character that skipped Shadowlands expansion but existed prior to it. I was level 50 when logging in post-Dragonflight, so I leveled to 60 in Bastion as I had never been to SL zones anyways, but got all the way to 60 in that 1 zone then moved on to DF. Now I am level 70 and doing fine in DF, however I was looking at going back to some SF zones for some transmog gear and such, and right now I am trying to figure how to get to Zereth Mortis.
I understand this zone was a max level zone added in a late SL patch. Wowhead says you get a quest automatically in Oribos for it at max level if you are progressed to a certain point in the campaign. I also see there were some skip mechanics added later on as well, so I am trying to figure what exactly I need to do to be able to get to this zone? Wowhead points me to Bolvar in Oribos, but he doesn't have anything for me.

You need to complete your covenant campaign bare minimum, I believe

Well, first you need to complete the whole leveling campaign of Shadowlands, which will then send you to Oribos to choose a covenant. THEN, after you choose a covenant, you'll have to do its campaign, which will require gaining renown with that covenant, which shouldnt be too hard now

Not really. Different races have various bonuses called Racials. Like Night Elf can stay in stealth until they move or use an action. Orcs deal more damage with pets, etc. The bonuses are generally so small though that you won't notice any real difference. For PvP though, the general consensus is Human for Alliance, and Orc for Horde.
Human because they can break free of abilities that makes you lose control of your character, and Orc because they have a passive ability that causes stuns to last for a shorter duration.
But again, it's really nitpicky and I'd say that it's more important that you like the look of your character and their animations than what racials they have

As for classes, they're all good and bad in their own rights. No class is objectively better than the other; it's all up to personal preference, knowledge, and adaptability

there is a checkbox and next to that checkbox is a dropdown for a hotkey. I have the check enabled & hotkey set to "none". this seems to be the same as having the check disabled entirely, it wants you to have a hotkey & "none" just seems to disable it

ok i just figured out my problem. i was testing this in valdrakken as a healer using NPCs around me. it turns out that like half hte NPCs in valdrakken dont let you heal them, so those ones were causing my confusion. It is actually working as expected with just the Blizz option enabled as shown

Does anyone here play Guardian Druid, or better yet, all tank classes? Since Dragonflight I have leveled a Prot Paladin from 1-70, a Prot Warrior from 1-63 and currently on a Guardian Druid from 1-60. While the first 2 were easy enough, the Guardian Druid just seems like a complete faceroll. I am unable to get rage starved even. I read about the proper rotation, but usually just doing big pulls, using mangle, swipe and thrash on cooldown, and occasionaly throwing a heal or using ironfur and barskin. Is it suposed to be this easy or am I missing something?

Yes, they're added to your account, and can be accessed from the Heirlooms tab in the Collections window. Just right-click the item and you'll produce a copy of it in your inventory.

I had it on 100% but 98% made is slightly better lol, the weird text glitch disappeared shortly after I posted the pic, so I guess it is resolved, thx for help!

If you're doing it as you level, figure maybe a day or two depending on how quickly and efficiently you can knock out the quests. Took me about a day and a half back during BfA's launch in 2018. Back then you were able to do the zones in any order, but now you'll need to be at least level 30 to start on Vol'dun. As that zone is BfA related, it'll cap off at level 50. Any character that is 60+ should be able to blast through it in a couple hours.

because the 98% forces it to upscale and bin the fake "smoothing" it applies when rendering textures. same way you get it even sharper again by disabling the 0.2 smoothing further down

aye, it's basically applying a smoothing filter ( resample filter ) that plays havoc with the texture maps for some unknown reason at 100% render scale. over or underscaling knocks it out of the whole "soft focus" it does at 100%. Same way taking this ( resample sharpness ) further down also to 0 to allow full AA applied further makes it sharper at the cost of slight ( as in a decent card won't even notice it ) performance hit by allowing the GPU to do full FFX without an artifical throttle on it

its really expensive, and while it makes the early leveling a bit cleaner with the compressed and more rapid leveling i've found i don't ever use them anymore

... but to upgrade it you go to the heirloom vendor, and you will see the upgrade pieces that allow you to upgrade gear to level X, Y and Z. You just buy those and apply it to the matching type of gear.

Yeah, I had a bug unti I reinstalled my addons where I would get a phantom bar over my 2nd row where I couldn't click on 4 buttons and /fstack found it, but i would have to do a UI reload to fix it temporarily each time

After like 8hrs of trying to fix it I just reinstalled everything which fixed it for others since it was some weird tutorial anchor that nobody could get rid of

Also if you still have issues with clicking or finding a button that should exist check for the extra action button (you can find it in stock by Escape, edit and click the box for extra actions to see it and move it) and move it to a better place.

I found in the stock UI my 'extra actions' defaulted to the bottom middle where everyone puts their buttons so i had to move my actionbars for a second and drag it out and into a new spot, then put my actionbars back to save it.

Yeah, Warmode phases people due to the fact its PVP oriented... you'll notice often groups say WM ON or WM OFF for that specific reason in custom group finders
