You can only queue for them if you're leveling in Chromie Time for Legion. Otherwise you just enter them yourself from the dungeon entrance on the map. They're grayed out, so I'm assuming you've leveled over them and can solo them just fine

If you have the quests then you've already been next to them as that's when you get the quests. You can find the dungeons in the in-game Adventure Guide and click the option to find the dungeon entrance, or you can just look for the blue circle icons on your map

Otherwise you can just look up the entrances for each one via google and wowhead

I suggest watching some videos and looking at builds (wowhead or icyveins).

Is this retail or classic? If retail (shadowlands/dragonflight) you can try each one out. First 10 levels can be done in "Exiles Reach" so you learn the class.

Up to 10 you don't have a specialization though.. just base class.

Exile's Reach is a mini-tutorial on the class you choose as you level up to 10.

But, between those two it depends on what you prefer. Up-close, in-your-face melee combat then warrior. If you like to sit back and cast spells then warlock.

All race, class, and spec combinations are viable for all forms of content and the best one is going to be the one you're better at playing

That being said, the only classes I wouldn't recommend for new players are demon hunters and death knights (and evokers) as those classes have their own unique starting zones and do not have a proper new player starting tutorial experience

Honestly? Level one of each class to at least 30--or even 60 (some players would go as far as to say your character isn't even made until it's leveled). At least until you get an overall feel for each one's playstyle

I used to be a warrior main until the Warlords of Draenor expansion years ago until I finally gave other classes a fair shot--now I main hunter but still keep one of each class

you can take as much time as u want in a class trial, no one's rushing u to learn each skill one by one and practice rotations on a training dummy. comparatively spending 5-10 hours (i think) on getting from 1-60 to unlock ur abilities one by one will take extremely long and u might not like the class. sure you have a new alt but it's an alt you don't enjoy playing with

We're also talking about the level of engagement for a new player. Leveling is a much more engaging learning process than standing in front of a targeting dummy and figuring it out yourself with everything available to you all at once

If you're already an experienced player, sure, class trial is probably better because you already know how to play the game

You have to give advice that's actually appropriate to your audience, otherwise it's just bad advice regardless of your good intentions

You need to have an active subscription/gametime to play above the restrictions of a starter account, and you need to own the current expansion to play the current expansion's content

If your subscription/gametime runs out, you're knocked back down to starter account restrictions. You still keep your characters, but you can't play any character above level 20

But you need to own Dragonflight to play Dragonflight content

I was thinking of playing my characters from BFA in Dragonflight, the thing is, I am not done with the BFA content, I don't want to leave that unfinished forever, I know some stuff you can still gain or complete when going back, but I'm worried about limitations in this field, if I go past an expansions max lvl, will that content in all regards still treat me as if I was still of that max lvl? I know some stuff gets disabled if above a certain level, but can this or other things (such as expansion or patch specific content) cause some things to no longer be doable? If I want to complete that journey, should I use a new chararacter for DF instead?

You should be fine for completing a vast majority of bfa content even at higher levels

If anything it makes it a lot easier and faster especially going for mythic dungeon achievements, raids etc

Less time spent in bfa more time you can spend either going into df or getting alts etc ready for it

You can gain legion legendaries tho not higher than the expansions ilv, and yes you can still progress heart of Azeroth, which is still active in old content

But the legion legendary effects have been disabled since bfa prepatch iirc so not much to do with them besides their mogs/collecting

Yeah, the covenants are more about ideals and character. There's a whole questline in the necrolord campaign that goes into this really well with Alexandros Mograine being confused why he's in Maldraxxus instead of Bastion since he was a paladin and then realizing it was the right thing

Not the best at explaining but I'll try. I want a healer that is like a battle tank healer I guess. A healer that can go into the middle of the battle and just sit there while healing allies and themselves while taking some punishment too. Obviously I'll be a lot squishier than tanks and It's impossible to be a healer and a tank at once. I just want to be able to sit in the middle of the fight. Taking hits for my allies when I need to and just keep on healing myself and my allies. Best I can explain it.

so you can mog it as a different statted item but keep your stats

holy paladin uses intellect gear, ret paladin and prot paladin use strength gear

What I usually do is as soon as I join a group, immediately tell them "I'm not very familiar with this dungeon" but yes, if you go through a few of the instances as a DPS you will learn the layout

Chromie Time and Timewalking are two different things. Timewalking dungeons are heroic dungeons of a specific expansion that scale your character down to them. Chromie Time scales an expansion's content to your level 10-60 for the purpose of leveling

Or alternatively, Switch to Ice spec for a bit or during those times and make use of ice shield and slows

and if your next question is to say "they all start with the defense buff" arcanes is mostly geared towards magic damage, Ice is a bit more general, Fire is Melee, So they can make quite a bit of difference early on

They make it REALLY easy to switch around now. So you can literally long as your out of combat..switch to a different spec/talent choice for specific mobs like those ones

Then you need to find the starter quest on your rogue, cuz he's not gonna see the portal to Oribos without it

Maybe not in the same way as how your warrior got there, as you're correct--Threads of Fate is shutting down--but if your rogue hasn't experienced SL, there should still be a starter quest to get there

Make a character, level 1-10 in the Exile's Reach starting tutorial zone, then just follow the quests. They'll take you where you need to go, and then you'll be leveling 10-60 in Zandalar or Kul Tiras

You should hit level 60 before finishing your faction's three leveling zones
