You sure they disappeared? Sometimes when that happens they just get untracked but are still present in the questlog. You just have to track them again. Check your questlog

I believe the best step is a guild. Finding one that fits your play style is important. As a social player, having an active group is key for enjoyment on my end. Luckily I found a solid group to get into DF with. Ask around in trade chat in game for any guilds that dont mind new or returning players! Or even check out the guild recruitment pages here.

Guild like Perk said, look for ones stating they are casual friendly and without any raid/dung requirements per week

Not always. But I have seen it work. Usually if you ask, people will post their guild ads.

Probably better venues such as the recruitment channels here which the guilds post their style/requirements. Just a suggestion, depending on how your realm is.

For dungeons and raids, it hardly matters since you'll need three (or up to twenty three) more people to get the job done. For PvP, probably a class which can compensate for a Warlock's squishiness

where it would cast both Shield and Hammer at same time, same with when it was still all specs had one for Wrath/Prism together

everything I've found says he's a hidden mechanic to getting the unlocking the mill achievement, which it seems is true because the achievement doesn't unlock with just the two visible things met

I've done the 75 work orders and the 4 ancient trees and it's still locked, everything on the site says you have to 'rescue' that guy to get him as a follower, then go back to the garrison to get his quest to kill his brother and it will then unlock

sounds like your key is stuttering ( basically breaking the keypress ) which means the game thinks you've stopped

generally an issue on either setups where Sticky Keys has been left on, machines with AHK running and non-gaming KB where it can't sustain a continual keypress properly for whatever reason

no, you're fine. so yeah doing dungeons will give you higher item level ("higher tier" if thats what you want to call it) items than the ones you get from doing quests or killing random things out in the world. the higher difficulty dungeon you do (normal vs heroic in retail and classic, then mythic and mythic+ if you're playing retail) results in higher item levels

the drops arent guaranteed though, sometimes you will get a piece from a boss and sometimes you wont. same for raids.
