The DK extended dancing rune weapon set bonus seems to cap at like 3-4x the original duration, which is a shame but still leaves it hilariously OP for M+ or any multi target tanking thing

There is no other explanation for it right now since our coming into the SL was a chain of event that started way ago and unfolded until this very moment. Which means that all that happened before was predetermined, even the Elisande fight where time " slipped away " from her to our advantage

what if the next expansion is azeroth, but kind of different than we think?

We get back to northrend and the armies of light are already pushing up through the eastern kingdoms

we can't head back to stormwind right away because it's already taken over by turaylon

so it would be battle for azeroth esque, but it wouldn't be horde v alliance anymore

and we would already be in a losing war to start with

man that sounds pretty fucking lame as I just typed that out

well, the idea isn't the worst, but the way I made it seem is really stupid

would be a good way to have player housing introduced

as like our own home stead to fortify, almost like a garrison, but way more personal and have any kind of gameplay relation be tied to something more like the outposts we had across draenor

so basically mission tables and such would be completely isolated to the outposts in the world, with our "garrison" for lack of a better term being more personal and removed from the gameplay, but still attached via the story

Sylvanas' model is actually a bit different

prior to Shadowlands, pretty much all unique NPCs used entirely separate models, just with a player rig most of the time

but a few of the Shadowlands models are different

namely, Kaelthas and Sylvanas

they are not unique models, but player models, recolored and given assets on top

hence why Kaelthas uses a player face and hairstyle

when you strip Sylvanas' model of its armor, it's a normal blood elf female model underneath, just colored different and with added textures for the armor's sake

so her two 9.2 models are, in essence, putting a new set of armor and hair onto a base skeleton, that skeleton being a highly modified female blood elf

much less work than what they've had to do previously, which is likely why they've done multiple in such a short span

and I hope they create new models like this more often moving forward, because one of my biggest issues with a lot of story presentation through character visuals is that they're constantly restricted to one outfit no matter the in game setting

Anduin's the best example, he should be wearing his Legion outfit in Stormwind, he should have a unique model in 9.2 post-raid, but in both instances he uses his BfA armored outfit because it's his most recent non-Maw look, and is an entirely unique model with no room for adaptation

That's not at all what the cinematic said

The cinematic is saying that Sylvanas' soul was fractured and a part of herself went down that evil route and the part of her frozen in time from back when Arthas marched on Quel'thalas is horrified by this thing that looks like her. Uther then tells her specifically that the part of her that committed those atrocities is a part of herself. Not once did Uther say the Jailer made Sylvanas do anything.

We watched a different cinematic then. And it's far from me to defend my interpretation of let's redeem sylvanas the 9. Time. And everything is okay. Because the plot demands that she's again our ally.

If you watched the cinematic you'd see that literally everyone except Bolvar and Uther was against the idea of using her for info and wanted her to just die. The plot isn't making her our ally, because she isn't. Nobody trusts her.

The stay awhile and listen bits have been amazing. Why can't we have more of those? They don't have to be voice acted, just let two characters interact with each other.

Shadowlands’ story is just an utter disaster. I was so hopeful for all the crazy stuff we could have gotten, or the stories that we could’ve actually gone into (like what the hell Frostmourne and the Helm of Domination’s original purpose even was). Instead, this entire expansion spent its time going in four separate directions, and not a single one actually addressing the main villain.
